I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heritence and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The service at the pool bar was outstanding. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made excellent cocktails. The pool itself was pristine and provided a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating and beautiful surroundings. To our delight, we were offered a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The upgraded room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views. Throughout our stay, we encountered staff who were not only polite but also highly professional. They were always ready to assist with any request and did so with a smile, making us feel truly valued as guests. The location of the hotel is another highlight. It's conveniently close to the airport, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. Additionally, it's situated near a beautiful beach, allowing us to enjoy the sun and sea within minutes of leaving our room. Overall, our experience at Heritance was nothing short of perfect. The booked big bed room has become a standard room. It doesn't matter because it is a transfer night! This was my third stay at the Goldi Sands, honestly, the last time was nearly 20 years ago but I had such a great time back then I had high expectations. In the intervening 20 years, the hotel has had a revamp, double the size, double the number of swimming pools, added an elevator and they've removed the beach-fronted bungalows. All of which I think was a smart move and well worth doing. What has changed is the service and the catering. The staff are of course all very polite just that they didn't go the extra mile like they used to. We arrived late as our flight had been delayed, all I wanted was a couple of bottles of beer, they did arrive but I almost had to beg. I booked a taxi to the airport with the front desk, but they forgot, the waitresses at dinner were all about the hard upsell rather than serving. The breakfast as far as my memory serves me used to be awesome, today's breakfast is the same every day and lacks imagination, is poorly presented, and includes the worst coffee ever. The hotel has a confusing number of tariffs from all-inclusive to room only which means if you want to buy a drink it takes forever as they have to check your ”status” and then if you pay cash they have to go to the cashier as they carry no float. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable but basic. All in all it is still a good hotel to choose but sadly it is no longer in the memorable category.

I paid for this hotel booking site and stayed at the hotel I was charged for my stay. I showed the image of the receipt from the app, explained it, and asked for a refund. I made a bill payment together with a tuk-tuk, Because the tuk tuk was priced high for reasons I don't understand I didn't get the full amount paid for the hotel. The owner didn't know I had paid. and answered. Why did you make a reservation by paying with a card from the app site? It was a pity that it was difficult to understand whether it was answered like that and what kind of mechanism it is 😢

Arrived around 11:30 pm. It takes about 15 minutes from the airport to the hotel. When planning the Sri Lanka trip, I searched for this hotel on Ctrip. I thought it was just a one-night stay and it was good to be close to the airport. When the chartered car driver followed the navigation to a door with the hotel name and an iron door. There was a flashing light inside the iron door and a phone number on it. After the chartered car driver contacted, a special staff member opened the door and told us to follow his tuk-tuk for a short distance to the hotel (in fact, there is a doorbell outside. Just press the door and the guy will come out to open the door). I didn’t expect the boss to be waiting for us. He was very enthusiastic and helped us move the boxes. He introduced the wife password and what time would breakfast be tomorrow. The room was also very clean. We arrived very late and went to bed immediately. The birds outside were indeed louder in the morning, which was also normal in a natural environment. Breakfast is about 1,200 rubles per serving. Note: The bottled water on the table is charged extra, 100 rubles per bottle. After the meal, I walked around the surrounding area. There are many beautiful plants. It feels like a botanical garden, original ecology, and there are many butterflies! I couldn't help but see a little squirrel. The boss seemed to like collecting old cars. There were also several old motorcycles on the second floor. There were three large fish tanks at the entrance of the restaurant. The tropical fish inside were also very beautiful!
