We didn't set out looking for a country schloss to stay in - we were looking for somewhere affordable for a night near the coast (And the hotels on the Baltic are very pricey). We ended up with something like Downton Abbey. The building is fantastic - gorgeous country house sat in its own grounds. It's not the Ritz - but it has real charm and charachter. Huge entranceway - sweeping stairways etc etc. Ther lawn faces towards sunset and there is an iddylic small lake to sit beside at the other side of some trees. Blissful. The room is relativeley basic but perfectly functional and comfortable. Our only quibble was the wifi was awfull in the room - but sitting downstairs in the lobby is no great problem. Breakfast was nice the dining room is very plush indeed. We adored this place - wandering around the lawn - sipping coffee watching the sunset in front of the Hotel. OK its a bit isolated, has charachter as opposed to luxury (But its perfectly comfortable !) but its gorgeous !

Wir erhielten ein Mansardenzimmer im 2. Stock über 55 Stufen erreichbar. Ein Fahrstuhl hätte uns gut getan. Es wurde uns aber Hilfe angeboten! Das kleine saubere Zimmer war zweckmäßig und freundlich eingerichtet und erfüllte unseren Anforderungen für den Kurzurlaub. Es waren sowohl ein Tisch und 2 Stühle, eine Garderobe, eine Kommode und ein moderner Fernseher vorhanden. Das kostenfreie WLAN funktionierte nicht immer störungs- oder verzögerungsfrei. Das sehr geräumige Bad haben wir sauber vorgefunden und es war zweckmäßig ausgestattet. In den Betten konnten wir gut schlafen, dafür sorgte auch die absolute Ruhe in der Umgebung. Das angebotene Frühstück nahmen wir in einem Saal ein, der hervorragend zum Ambiente des Schlosses passte. Die Anfahrt und die entsprechende Umgebung zum Schloss trüben leider etwas die Bewertung des Gesamteindruckes. Alte nicht mehr verwendete graue zum Teil verfallene Gebäude aus der alten DDR-Zeit passen nicht zum instand gesetzten Schloss.

Die Ankunft nach Rezeptionsschluss ist nach telefonischer Absprache ohne Probleme möglich und hat auch gut geklappt. Die Zimmer sind sehr geräumig und sauber. Besonders schön gelungen ist der Eingangsbereich und der Frühstücksraum (der sonst sicher zum Restaurant gehört). Zum Frühstück gab es eine sehr gute Auswahl obwohl es eher ein kleineres Hotel ist, in dem man diese Auswahl gar nicht unbedingt erwartet. Das Schloss im englischen Landstil ist an einem Weiher gelegen mit viel Grün drumrum. Wir fanden es schön dort. Die Wege nach Greifswald, Neubrandenburg und Usedom sind nicht allzu fern, so dass die Lage gar nicht so schlecht ist. Ein Auto braucht man aber in jedem Fall. Das Abendessen klang auch gut. Das haben wir allerdings nicht probiert.

Es war ein perfekter Kurzurlaub mit außergewöhnlich nettem Gastgeber in einem mit viel Liebe restaurierten Haus. Die Zimmer sind zum Glück nicht mit irgendwelchem echten oder nachgemachten Schloßmobiliar eingerichtet, sondern minimalistisch modern. Auch die abstrakten Bilder in den Zimmern passen dazu. Der Park ist wunderschön. Frühstück war gut und reichlich. Die Abendkarte ist zwar kurz, aber die Gerichte sehr schmackhaft. Es gibt auch eine vegetarische Auswahl.

Verspielten Schlosskitsch und überflüssiges Chichi sucht man hier vergebens, zum Glück. Stattdessen findet man einen Ort zum Durchatmen, stilsicher eingerichtet und geführt von einem wunderbaren Gastgeber und einem netten Team. Ich hätte stundenlang auf der Terrasse sitzen können ... Und nicht nur, weil das "schlosseigene" Reh sich nicht hat blicken lassen, muss ich unbedingt wieder kommen!

Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen, das Team versteht es, sich sehr gut und natürlich als Gastgeber zu präsentieren. Es ist ein Ort der Ruhe und Gelassenheit und wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Etikette, übertriebenes Gehabe etc. gibt es hier nicht. Das ist auch gut so und macht diesen Ort so besonders. Das Hotel bietet eine gute feine Speisenauswahl am Abend an, das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und ebenfalls sehr gut. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und werden dieses Haus gern weiterempfehlen.

Traumhaft schönes Hotel mit sehr nettem Gastgeber. Auch unser Hund war von Anfang an willkommen und wurde liebevoll versorgt. Leckeres Frühstück für jedermann. Die Ostsee und die Inseln Usedom und Rügen sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!
