This place would have got a 100% rating from me, but was just slightly let down by an electricity black out throughout the night, and no torch was available to move around in the room in total blackness. We were the only guests staying so maybe they didn't want to run the generator all night. Apart from that it was amazing... Beautiful room, excellent service and delicious dinner and breakfast. The views are to die for. I would return in a heartbeat.

Such a fun little island and a great resort to stay at. We planned a day here after spending the night here after gorilla trekking, to do nothing. Just walk around the tiny island and look for the waterbuck, zebras, and donkey. We found all of those with in a 20 minute walk into the jungle portion on a nice little trail. Staff was vey nice.

Lake Bunyonyi Eco Resort offers a serene escape with breathtaking views. The journey to the island by boat was a highlight, allowing us to appreciate the lake's beauty. Upon arrival, a tuk-tuk took us up the hill to the comfortable resort. Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We stayed for two nights to fully enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and explore the area. We took a delightful canoe ride around the island at sunset and arranged a boat tour with a local guide the following day. While the food was decent, the buffet-style evening meals offered a good variety. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi worked well in the common areas. It's important to remember that things may not always work at the same pace as in the Western world. The hot water took a bit of time to heat up, but we were warned about that in advance. The overall setting of the island was fantastic, with plenty of birds and wildlife, making it the perfect place to unwind.

Lake Buyoni Eco Lodge was a great place to spend a quiet day after many action filled days on our vacation. The island affords a nice nature walk viewing zebras and other animals, birds and plants. Our cabin had a front porch comfortable for reading, taking in the view and watching birds. The staff was attentive and the food good.

It's a comfortable place to stay with a beautiful view of the lake, transportation is easy and affordable. This is a place you would go and enjoy a wife rage of water birds, I enjoyed listening to all kinds of birds whistle, took better pictures of kinds of birds. It also made it easier to reach mugahinga national Park where we did gorilla tracking. It was such a a beautiful experience, come explore with us

Great relaxing time. We were the only guests. Food was very good as was the service. Rained on way to Island and the boat driver pulled over so we got sheltered, so kind. He also on the way back showed us the National bird sitting on her eggs. He showed us Punishment Island. Funny story. On our Island their is bunnies and a pair of Geese. We saw a lizard as well. Docks served us and made sure we we comfortable. She is a lovely and helpful person and does her job well. A wonderful stay

The resort is located in a very nice position but the services should be definetely improved. We perceived a lack of coordination of the staff, not really welcoming and organized. To mention some other examples: there is no light on the path to reach the lodges, the food quality both for dinner and breakfast was low. Overall, service not meeting the expectation.

This eco resort is located on one of the islands in Lake Bunyonyi. just a short boat ride to get there. The rooms are quiet and you can watch the birds from your balcony. The staff are friendly and helpful and knowledgable in local birds and wildlife. you can take a canoe or motor boat onto the lake to see other islands and area. Definitely nice to stay here. rooms are clean and spacious with walk in showers.
