Be aware! These people are so welcoming at first. We consumed three coffees and a water that totaled about 180LE. When we got the bill it was 450 LE. What!? Luckily we were with an Egyptian local friend. The server explained to him that there was a minimum charge because of the view. Fair enough if this was stated or informed before hand. No where on the menu and/or the bistro did it state this. We explained that this is not about money it is about honesty. As a tourist I felt ripped off. Luckily this was resolved after about 30 minute. I highly suggest people ask upfront if any of these roof top restaurants/cafe have a minimum charge before you decide on a place. So sad that one person or a few people can ruin the image of a place.

I arrived at 3 am and I already got my room. Views are really amazing from the room and from the terrace. There are more guesthouses in similiar location (and prices) but Sphinx Guesthouse is best because it's just opposite the Sphinx. Nice food on the terrace. Evening you can watch the Sound & Light Show for free. This is my TOP Place to stay in Giza.
