Ohai Nazaré Outdoor Resort

Found this place as a result of a chat GPT search between Porto and Faro for a few nights with the kids- what a brilliant find at random it was. The place is perfectly decked out for families and all ages alike, the staff are outstanding and there's plenty for the kids to do amidst the stunning backdrop of the forests behind beautiful Nazare. So pleased to have found it and we will return in the years to come- Muito Obrigado!

I’m sorry to say that our experience at Ohai was very disappointing. While the place looks nice in pictures, it’s far from restful in reality. We booked the "deluxe glamping" option, but our tent was squeezed in among around 30 others, surrounded by crying babies and loud adults both day and night. To make matters worse, a family checked in at 1:30 AM—violating the check-in policy—and they were placed in the tent right next to us, only about a meter away. Their noise continued until 3 AM. This was definitely not what we expected when paying extra for "deluxe glamping." The tent itself had a musty smell and signs of mold, and we received no refund for this unacceptable experience. It seems the management is more focused on profits than on client experience. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for your stay—save your vacation and avoid this place if you can!

A camping site with with no tents. Very nice Instagram pictures but not even close to reality. The food is terrible, I don't believe there is one single item on the menu that was not from a can of a flask. Improper food for adults even more for children. Super over priced for the lack of conditions it provides. Even juice is from a already openned jar and for a stupid price. Will not recommend this to anyone.

The food is absolutely terrible. Bad quality, poor selection and bad taste. Unless you bring food to cook in the room I recommend you go out to the city for every single meal. The hours of the restaurant are also not thoughtful for little kids during normal lunch and dinner times.

Emplacements CAMPING CAR BRUYANTS et petits. ( Au bord d'une route passante de jour comme de nuit). Pas assez de Sanitaires au vu du nombres d'emplacements et beaucoup de bâtiments en travaux. En décalage complet avec la description d'ACSI

We came to Ohai Resort because we were surprising family here who had brought their caravan from UK. Stayed in Porto first (Casa dos Guindais / Palacio Batalha) then went on to Lisbon (AlmaLusa Baixa/Chiado). So this wasn’t really ‘our thing’; camping; water park; buffet restaurant etc but we had a marvellous time. And phew! The surprise went well! Calm and efficient Stephanie sorted our arrival when we couldn’t get a taxi from Nazare. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow with breakfast and dinner included as no s/c, which should have given us a clue when I booked to there not being a shop on site!! But if you do need anything that the great staff here can’t provide, there is an Aldi and Lidl down in Nazare. The bungalow had all we needed and was very comfortable. Loved the balcony/terrace with table and chairs plus two deckchairs. We had breakfast here occasionally for a change from the restaurant. The food there was excellent and varied, staff doing an excellent job navigating the meandering guests….. Can’t remember his name but the ‘Head of House’ who checked everyone into the restaurant was so welcoming and very patient! The outdoor family facilities seemed very popular but there were plenty of beds and other areas to go to at busy times of day. We took the Ohai van into Nazare a couple of times – €15 euros return and the lovely Kayra just collected us when we were ready, playing ‘Girl from Ipanema’ at the ready when we said we loved the tune after since staying at Ipanema beach. Very sweet. Although we appreciate it was not the surfing season we still saw some amazing waves. Incredibly beautiful coastline. Thank you so much for making our ‘camping’ holiday with family a special memory!!
