I attended a family wedding there Sathurday last. It was a small enough wedding, just as well ,with one single toilet to cope with about 110 guests, disgracefull. The cermony was held on site,in a room that could barley take the numbers,a shody looking chamber, with little attention to detail, broken light fittings etc. Tea / coffee / drinks reception, was ok ..then came the comedy!. We were led down a winding stair case(dangerous for the elderly,or those with a few too many). Then the dinner service, but not before one of the dining tables collapses with the guests sitting at it,obviously the tresle table had not been locked into position,a pretty basic thing to do if the place was being managed properly luckly no one was injured or scalded, and by the way ,when our table was being moved away after dinner it was obvious that our table had not bern locked in either,(lucky escape). The service was poor to say the least, the manager if that what he was,had no intrraction with the people, and had no personality,he also lacked leadership skills,as was quite obvious with the service, food was good though. Later in the evening as drinks were had,not one dirty glass or bottle, was removed from our table, despite plenty of staff behind the bar enjoying the music, again no management or supervision! Overall this looks like a place in decline, evidence can be seen out on the terrace, where one can observe a life sized chess ,set which from a distance looks very impressive, but on closer inspection is over grown with weeds and grass, again lack of attention to detail. I dont know who owns this place, but it would be wise of them to invest in a decent manager or two,to rescue the place.
