Unfortunately, on the first day, another large open-air bath was under renovation. Although the room had a bed, the air conditioner was still the old-fashioned one, and the sound was a bit too noisy.

I had an old acquaintance's wake in Nasu-Shiobara at short notice, and had been curious about the hot springs there, so I decided to go. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. There were lots of baths to enjoy.

Overall relatively dilapidated

The food and facilities at the inn were good. However, I was not satisfied with the fact that if you make a reservation through this site, even a 2-year-old child will be charged an adult price. I will no longer use this site.

The entrance is on the high ground on the bypass side. If you arrive early, you can use the parking lot next door or across the road, but if you arrive late, you will have to drive quite far away and have a van pick you up. At check-in, you will be given a detailed tour of the facility. Please note that you cannot choose the time for dinner, and dinner starts at 5:00 in the order of arrival. If you're going to see a play, it starts at 6:00. This time's room is on the 8th floor (top floor) of the west building where the front desk is located. From the balcony, you can look down on the Houki River through the internet. The room was a Japanese-Western style room. It's a shame that you can't see the TV from the bed. There is a water server with hot and cold water. Theater starts at 3:30. Shiobara Hououza is located on the first floor. This time, it was a performance by the Chikushi Momotaro Troupe. Maybe it was because I was expecting Fumio Umezawa, but it was kind of...hmmm. Even though there were so many guests staying there, the audience was sparse. There are 3 hot springs: a large rock bath (indoor bath) in the basement of the main building, a semi-open-air bath in the basement of Yukyokan after crossing the rainbow bridge (connecting passage) over the Houki River, and an indoor bath on the first floor of the B&H building (this is reserved for private use, in the morning) (Open to the public). I took a bath in 3 places: before dinner, before going to bed, and in the morning, so I never get tired of it. The massages near the changing room are people from the peninsula. It feels good to be pushed so hard, but I don't understand what they're talking about, and I'm worried that they're saying something bad about me. Meals are buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Children are running around and if they bump into it, they will drop their food, which is dangerous. The menu has a wide variety, so I eat a small amount of each dish, but I ended up eating a lot of curry and ended up getting full sooner than I expected. It was a quick night.
