Nasu Onsen Sanraku

Following the footsteps of autumn leaves, we came to Nasu Sanraku in the mountains, a stop on the hot spring trip. I really enjoyed myself and forgot all my worries. I relaxed and drank with friends. It was worth the trip in late autumn. I am already planning the next destination.

This time we used the shuttle bus from Nishinasuno. The driver was safe and I was surprised at how big the bus was. The staff was also polite and warm when we arrived. Our room this time was on the 4th floor of the West Wing, and the view was great and it felt nostalgic. The room had been remodeled, but I was happy to see that some of the old room was still being used appropriately. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs and the food. It had been about 20 years since we had last stayed here, but everything was just as good as before and we were very satisfied. There had been a change in the staff, but everyone was very likeable and I was happy about that.

I decided to go to a hot spring in Nasu with my 93-year-old mother, and out of several options, I chose Sanraku because I had stayed there before and my mother was familiar with it. The room was on the 4th floor with a great view overlooking the Nasu Highlands, just like last time. The open-air bath was the largest of any hot spring I've ever stayed at, and it was surrounded by trees, and there were no other guests, so I was able to relax. The food was delicious, including bowls, sashimi, fried foods, Tochigi beef, and corn rice. My elderly mother also left out some fried food and Tochigi beef, but she ate the rest. All of the staff members who dealt with us were very nice. In particular, the young female staff member who was in charge of dinner was very helpful and made the meal enjoyable. If you use a wheelchair, there are a few stairs in some places, which can be a problem, and the facilities feel old, but I would stay again to enjoy the view from the room, the open-air bath, and the food. .
