Best Western Plus Sunrise Inn

South Nashville Nashville|1.78km from Thompson Pl
We booked three rooms with this hotel based on pictures from the hotel website. Seem to be a clean, above average hotel. Do not be deceived!! For starters, they have bedbugs. I got bit and came home with 40+ bedbug bites. Had to make a trip to the doctor and get prescription strength anti-itch cream. So I showed the hotel manager the numerous bites on my arms and legs, I took pictures and also captured one of the bedbugs in a plastic cup and took it down to the front desk to show him. He was in denial and said they weren’t bedbugs-he didn’t know what they were but he would contact his exterminator. He offered a $70 credit. Seriously? I itched for five days and ended up making a trip to the doctor, had to fill a prescription and you only offer $70 credit? I contacted Best Western corporate and they were not willing to do anything about it; told me it was at the discretion of the hotel. The rooms were dirty… Hair and dirt in the bathroom corners, feces on the toilet, stained and sticky carpet, grease on the valance. This hotel is also located in the hood, across the street from apartment apartment complex, bus stop outside in homeless camp one block away. There is an abandoned building outback with a chain-link fence around it and barbed wire fence on top of that. Our first night, we heard gunshots at 4 AM. That should tell you something! I have since read numerous reviews of bedbugs and uncleanliness at this hotel. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Hyatt House Nashville Airport

Recently on our stay at the new Hyatt House I met Kaylee at the front desk. She was super friendly and helpful. I had an outside meeting and didn’t have an umbrella, when there wasn’t any at the front desk she offered to loan hers for a few hours in which I was shocked at her offering. I was able to stay dry and returned her umbrella a few hours later. Secondly upon arriving home I realized I could y find my business journal. We looked high and low and called the hotel to check. When we spoke with someone else they said it was found and nothing was turned in. We thought it was lost but thought to call one more time hoping to Get kaylee because she was so helpful. We told her it Might be in the drawer near the bed as our 6 year old daughter confessed to storing it in their for her dad. A few hours later Kaylee called to tell us SHE FOUND IT! Yes, yes! Thank you Kaylee we are great full you took the extra time t search high and low. Hyatt should be proud to have her!

The hotel is beautiful, there is a parking lot, there is a shuttle bus to the airport every half an hour from 4 am to 11 pm. The facilities are also good. Next time you pass through Nashville, you will stay.

A relatively new hotel, everything was clean and modern. An easy $5 Uber ride from the airport, we had no problems checking in and getting a room. Front desk was helpful in suggesting local eateries. Room was clean and modern. The only downside is the plane noise during takeoff, but that’s expected considering the location and it didn’t bother us.

Jonaé and her staff helped us tremendously as our flight was delayed and we had to scramble to find a hotel. She was patient, kind and compassionate. Even with all the airline misshapes, they went out of their way to makes us comfortable.

There was limited staff. I called the person at the front desk and got no answer. The front door was locked when I went to check on why we had no beds made or clean towels. The staffing seemed to be one person for a five-floor motel. We did not get room service even after being asked if we wanted the service. There was no in-room coffee. This property is very much in need of updating. The walls were in serious need of paint as there were chipped spots all over the room. The floor looked as if the dirt was swept into the corners. There was no clothes bar to hang our clothes. To get clean towels, we literally had to pick them up from the front desk clerk. Two lounging chairs were available but really needed updating! We got an extra charge for using a credit card to pay for this ”luxurious accommodation” for a mere $150.00 a night! Our other room rates going to Nashville were all between $80 and $100 a night with all routine amenities including breakfast! We found better motel rooms in third world countries for less money!
