Highway Tourist Village

Was a stop over for us. Have a large van. Choice of 2 sites we had. One site heavy washed out due to rains. And a couple of angry dogs on site next door. Another jumped out a Ute and was running around freely. Checked out the other site. Concrete. But all concrete is badly broken up. Park has covered with some artificial grass. But I tripped over couple times, still. Site was very tight to get in and out. Many many cabins at this park. Looked a bit average, though. Road workers and contractors seemed to fill up in most cabins here. Some up late drinking and colourfull language from some. Close to highway. So expect truck noise. It's a drive to the town centre from here. Amenities block seemed ok. The mens door main lock is about to come off, though. Probably needs fixing. This park, in general, is a bit tight to monuver a van around. Some tight areas. Probably down the back would be best. If not, it had been raining hard. Will will choose another park next time for us. Currently Under new management atm.

We got a room due to a cancellation, all the road workers appear to be billeted in Narrabri, so be ready for noisy groups of men who have no empathy to travelers in dire need of a full sleep. Got a really good price, ＜$100, & room ticked all the boxes.

I was due to Stay for 3 nights. But due to the sickening state of the place I left after 1 night. The managers were the main problem. I heard that new Managers were installed so came back. And what a change. One of the best now. Very clean & Smart. I stayed 4 nights. Definitely worth staying.

New manager's doing a great job.. Wish them all the best and keep up the good work.. grounds are looking great, well priced, pool in prestine condition, used it many times during our 4 day stay, kitchen and laundary aera clean well looked after..
