Our stay at Kanha was wonderful. The organisation of our transport and accommodation was seamless and every effort was made to provide us with the best experience. We are avid travellers and have been exploring the world for over 30 years. Our time at the Pungadee game parks was definitely memorable. Specific highlights at Kanha - the food, the chef treated us to a masterful array of dishes and shared his love of cooking both experimental and traditional with us. Our driver was not only able to accomplish the task of driving us safely, being punctual, caring for our comfort, hot water bottles and blankets on the cold pre dawn mornings, he also shared with us cultural ideals and gave us an insight into a different way of thinking and an appreciation of thought processes different to our own. All the staff we encountered made it very clear we were their priority. Our cottage was adorable and the herb/vegetable garden and butterfly gardens were beautifully tended. Highly recommend!

It was an unbeatable experience. The lodging was unique. The service was wonderful. The common spaces were beautiful, although because of the safaris we did not get any time to enjoy them. Best of all was the food, and our interactions with the chef (Ark). On our last evening special care was taken to give us a great candlelight experience. Unforgettable. And a big 'thank you' to Ark.

Sorry - this review is long because I just loved our entire experience, and thus have a lot to say…. We were bowled over by this eco lodge on our first visit here 3 years ago, and in planning our trip to multiple parks, we wanted to repeat our stay at this wonderful property ( we had loved it so much that we stayed at all Pugdundee Properties at 3 peaks on this trip). Needless to say, we were just as thrilled with our stay this time as we were our first time. The lodge continues to offer warm service in this superb lodge. The property gives you the true feel of being on safari. The setting is very natural, and you feel you are in the jungle. In no way does this mean it lacks luxury. Rooms are HUGE with ceiling fans, AC and heaters, large comfortable beds, a seating area and desk, large doors that open into the patio which overlooks the forest. The bathrooms are big (with hot water availed within 5 minutes of turning on the heater). There is a coffee and tea station int he entry way, with flasks of water. The rooms are in separate cottages that are spaced so you have complete privacy. The lodge does NOT have manicured gardens and landscaping - the stay true to the feel of a safari lodge. I am glad that it doesn’t don’t feel like a “hotel in the city’ - most guests are here to enjoy the safari and the lodge gives you very authentic safari experience without compromising on quality. If you want a party hotel, this is not the place for you. This lodge, which located away from the bustle of lodges near the main gate and town, follows the ethos of the company in being very environmentally conscious - there was zero use of single use plastics. In the rooms, trash cans are lined with newspaper rather than plastic; shampoo, conditioner and lotion are all in glass bottles etc. Guests are supplied with a metal flasks to use. There is are water flasks in the room and water dispenser near the reception to refill the flasks you are given to use during the stay and you keep the flasks (encouraging you to continue to refrain from using single use plastic bottles). Safari meals are packed and served in metal containers. One of the highlights of the stay is the delicious, mouthwatering food. The menu is meals from different regions of India with a smattering of items from other parts of the world. The chef is so innovative in his preparation of meals, and discusses the menu with guests daily to make sure everyone is happy with options offered. He offers to make non Indian meals if desired, but I never saw anyone request non Indian meals - his selection of Indian dishes is so good you don’t feel the need to have any pasta / pizza type of food. Each meal is finished off with a different, freshly made ice cream and a dessert pairing. Be warned you get so much in your main meal you need to plan for the amazing desserts. There is a program offered each evening where you watch a documentary about the region and have your appetizer during the program. Alterna

This Lodge is absolutely faultless. We travel a lot and have done many safari's around the world. Kanah Earth Lodge was above all of our expectations. Every detail was covered and beyond. The Manager of the Lodge, whose affectionately known as Mr Happy, was so kind, and him and his staff looked after us superbly well. The Naturalist who was called Ashu was excellent looking after us throughout the day. I can't speak highly enough about the Lodge. The best ever!!! Thank you

Same very positive experience as at the King's lodge in Bandhavgarh - from where we came to Kanha. We liked the interior design of Kanha even more, the room was really king-size. Staff were likely attentive, and food equally good - but we had unfortunately no outdoor dining. The swimming pool seemed significantly bigger than at the King's, but we had no time to check whether it's large enough for lap swimming. A particular note for the butterfly garden: both lodges have one, but somehow the Kanha one had a bunch of rare, colourful butterfiles I never saw before. As for the dark side... same problem: wedding music at night was even worse that at the King's, if you can believe that!

This was the 3rd and final Pugdundee lodge of our 3 weeks in India on our latest holiday and it certainly did not disappoint. The food was up to the excellent standard of the other 2 Pugdundee lodges where we had stayed. Each chef had their own special flavours so it would be difficult to choose a favourite. They were all 3 perfect. Similarly the lodges themselves each had an individual character but were all excellent. We did find the safari drives to be quite tiring due to the distances involved in reaching the allocated zone after entering the NP. The distance needed depends on the luck of the draw for zones but it did impact on our enjoyment of the drives. I should mention that we are quite elderly. We did enjoy the drives but perhaps not as much as those in Satpura. Kanha seems to have more mammals than the other parks but viewing can be quite difficult due to the wonderfully dense forest. We did see one tiger and glimpsed a pack of wild dogs. It was good to see the very rare Barrasingha of Kanha. An unexpected highlight on our final evening was a visit to the weekly market in a local village. The colour, noise, smells and energy was intoxicating. We loved it. We had one of our very best holidays ever. Thank you to all at Kanha Earth Lodge, Denwa Backwaters and Waghoba Eco Lodge ***** with Swati back in Delhi.

My husband and I stayed at the Pugdundee Kanha Earth Lodge for 3 nights as part of the Best of Central Highlands tour that Pugdundee offers. This was our first time in India and the Pugdundee staff were a beautiful, warm representation of India. We felt their genuine care and kindness throughout every aspect of our time with them. The hospitality here is the best we have ever experienced. This made this a standout, exceptional experience. We did two morning jeep safaris, two evening jeep safaris and one night jeep safari. We enjoyed every single one! Our safari driver & guide was phenomenal. He was incredibly educated on the Kanha Tiger Reserve, with over 25 years of experience. We learnt so much about tracking and understanding tigers from him. He was able to provide us with 4 exceptional tiger sightings with the night safari proving to be a once in a lifetime sighting. I have come to truly admire and respect the work that is done to preserve the tigers and greater reserve. To note, we also really enjoyed the meals, coffee and tea also provided on safari - a lovely touch. The property is beautiful and serene. We enjoyed walking around - we visited the kitchen garden & butterfly garden and a staff member was able to educate us on all the different things grown here. We enjoyed every meal thoroughly. I am personally vegan and they had no problem accommodating to my dietary needs. We also enjoyed the style of dining - multiple dishes so we could try many dishes local to India. We will be talking about our time at this lodge, with the amazing staff & tiger sightings for a very long time. We highly recommend Pugdundee for all nature & wildlife enthusiasts! You truly feel in the heart of nature, while still enjoying a luxury travel stay.

The planning of our trip began with Ms. Ruchika, who has always been our go-to person for booking stays and safaris across Pugdundee properties. She takes special care of every detail, ensuring that all our travel needs are met seamlessly. Her commitment to delivering top-class customer service is truly remarkable, making the booking process hassle-free and pleasant every time. Kanha Earth Lodge (By Pugdundee) is a hidden gem that truly feels like a home away from home. This was our second visit, and it was just as memorable as the first. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with a warm welcome by the manager, Mr. Harpreet Singh. His genuine smile and hospitality set the tone for our stay, making us feel comfortable and cared for right from the start. His attention to detail is unmatched – he goes out of his way to ensure that every little need is met. An example that touched us was when my daughter requested hair oil, and Mr. Harpreet went the extra mile to source it from a nearby village (as it was not easily available), surprising us that very evening. It's this kind of thoughtful gesture that sets Pugdundee apart. The safaris were meticulously planned without any hiccups, giving us the chance to witness some breathtaking wildlife sightings. We were fortunate to have Suraj as our naturalist and driver – his tactical and calculative approach, combined with his curiosity and alertness, made the safaris exceptional. Thanks to his expertise, we spotted almost four tigers in the four safaris we went on! His deep knowledge of the flora and fauna and his keen eye for tracking wildlife added immense value to our experience. In addition to the safaris, Mr. Harpreet arranged evening nature walks, which were enriched with captivating wildlife stories that added a special touch to our experience. These walks were not just informative but also deeply immersive, connecting us with the serene beauty of Kanha. The food at Pugdundee deserves special mention. Every meal was delicious, crafted with care, and bursting with flavors. One day, after a safari, the kids craved Maggi – even though it wasn't on the menu, the team graciously made it for them, showing once again how they go above and beyond to make guests happy. It's these little surprises that make the experience truly special. We were there on New Year's Eve, and the celebrations were unforgettable. Mr. Harpreet organized a mesmerizing Adivasi dance followed by a local village themed dinner that was simply out of this world. The cultural touch added so much to the evening, making it a night to remember. A special mention to the entire staff at Pugdundee – they were incredibly humble, approachable, and always willing to help. Their extensive knowledge about the local flora and fauna made every interaction meaningful and enriching. They truly represent the essence of hospitality, making guests feel welcomed and valued. Kanha Earth Lodge isn’t just about luxurious stays and stunning safari
