This is a fabulous place to stay. It is charming and the owners are so warm and welcoming. Wonderful rooms, amazing grounds and a fabulous breakfast. We felt more like family then guests. Jan and Cynthia do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The private dinner with Victor as the chef was beyond our highest expectations! Truely worthy of a Michelin star! What an amazing gem of a hotel. So happy we booked it and we are already looking for a way to return. Staying here was really the highlight of a 30 day trip.

What a fantastic experience. Beautiful converted winery. Out of the way location but near to Narbonne. Peaceful ground with two swimming pools in ancient basins - I swam in the smaller which was so warm. Lots of quiet areas to sit and relax and walks to the lake plus bicycles. Our room was huge with a massive bathroom. Victor cooked us a 5 course menu which he presented with enthusiasm! The staff were so smiley and friendly from Elodie who greeted us to Jan one of the owners who chatted to us at a marvellous buffet breakfast of fresh local produce and home cooked omelets. It was like being in your own home. So comfortable. Sadly we were just passing through but we will defintely be back for a longer stay.

When we consider visiting a place on the basis of the photos, videos we see & the words we read, the thought may cross our minds .."will it actually be as wonderful as it seems?" In the case of Jan & Cynthia's domaine - at least for us - reality exceeded all our expectations: the house is stunning, the rooms beautifully appointed, the grounds spacious and well-tended, Jan & Cynthia's approach warm and authentic. The vast, central salon which is kitchen, dining area & living/relaxation space all in one is a pleasure to behold. The breakfast is of high quality, full of fresh produce from the garden, the coffee is great & Jan makes the best poached eggs I have ever tasted! Guests are given a free run of the kitchen area and can help themselves to tea (herbal & non), coffee, or chilled water, any time they like. We had intended to eat out most nights during our week's stay, but the beauty of the house, Jan & Cynthia's friendliness, the culinary skills and winning personality of Victor the visiting chef soon changed our minds! Jan also has a small, but carefully selected choice of wines at fair prices. The evenings Victor was not there we took the Boco menu option.. in short, we stayed in as much as possible! The domaine is not far at all from major roads - handy for taking trips to Narbonne, the coast, Carcassone & much besides. However, it is so immersed in the countryside - and the extent of the grounds heightens that sensation - that it feels hidden. This, together, with the two swimming pools the landscaped garden and the lake, give the setting a magical quality. I can hardly recommend it enough. No question of whether we will go back, just a question of when. Thank you Jan & Cynthia (and Victor, and Emma the delightful baby ) for a very memorable stay. We will be back! With kind regards, Simon & Barbara

A very nice location to come to yourself. The domaine is like an oasis of peace. The rooms are modern and the facilities are luxurious and give a rustic feel. A beautiful authentic stay with all modern comforts. In the meantime, there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. Many nice towns and villages to see including Narbonne, Carcasonne and Beziers. The hospitality of owners Jan and Cynthia is enormous. There is no effort too much. Some were born for the profession, so to speak...I hope to be able to stay here more often in the future 😊.

By far one of the best stays I’ve ever had. The grounds and hotel are beautiful, peaceful and immaculate with sounds of nature, butterflies in the gardens, a beautiful lake to wander around. The rooms are stunning, spacious, impeccably clean and modern with plenty of light and access to nature. Modern and renovated with a variety of modern appliances and open access to coffee, hot cocoa, sparkling water in the grand and luxurious kitchen. Seriously I didn’t want to leave! It felt like home. The hotel is breathtakingly gorgeous. The 2 pools a delight. The breakfast is also amazing. Jan is an incredible chef and includes lots of fresh options (pancakes, cheeses, croissants, and makes the best scrambled eggs)! I could go on and on about how wonderful and special this place is. It’s not just a place to rest your head - it’s an experience. One where you’ll walk away revived and rejuvinated. Both Jan + Cynthia are so kind, joyous and they went above and beyond to help us and make the stay a delightful experience. We will definitely be telling all of our friends and coming back for another peaceful stay!

PARFAIT. MERVEILLEUX !

What an absolutely lovely experience. Between Elodie and Jan (Jan owns the hotel with his lovely wife who is very pregnant at the moment and Elodie is working with them) everything felt as if we had been invited to a friend's lovely Wine Estate. The wifi was not working well enough for me to stream some business information and I was given my own router to make sure I was perfectly happy! These people have taken "satisfaction for clients" to a different level. Breakfast is lovely (although I must admit the dinner with the special chef could use a little improvement because our meals were mostly on the room temperature side rather than hot). The property is lovely, the location is great, Jan is very friendly, Elodie is a tour de force in there... and I hope to be back...

Our experience at WAYA was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. Every aspect was excellent. The property is extraordinary, with amazing gardens, two pools, and many different spaces to sit and explore. The main building is also extremely beautiful, comfortable, and extensive. There are two interior seating and dining areas, each well furnished and with many facilities, including a kitchen for cooking and refrigerators for storing your own food. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, sparkling and still water are available all the time. The breakfast each day included a buffet of breads, pastries, cheeses, vegetables, yogurt, pancakes, and more. Jan cooks eggs to order and his omelets are delicious! The room was beautiful, well furnished, and extremely comfortable. Many amenities are provided that make the stay very pleasant and easy. The Wednesday gastronomic evening was a real pleasure. We recommend asking others participating if they would like to form a group a sit together for dinner; otherwise, it is organized more like a restaurant with individual seating areas. We had eight of us together, and it was a very interesting and fun group. Chef Victor prepared a delicious meal, taking into account a range of different dietary needs. Wine is not included as part of the meal, but we all agreed to share bottles paired with the dishes. Jan selected them for us and split the cost among the rooms. Above all, the warmth, hospitality, and service provided by Cynthia and Jan is remarkable. We truly felt at home and knew that they genuinely wanted to do everything they could to make us comfortable. We highly recommend WAYA and will definitely stay there again if we return to Narbonne.
