Villa ambrosia is a lush, green oasis in the heart of Narbonne. Nestled alongside the picturesque canal, and just a short walk to city centre. It is beautifully decorated with lots of greenery; feels so relaxing and safe. Breakfast was delicious! Staff was friendly and the massage was amazing. It was everything we were looking for and more!!!

From the start of booking this room Elodie was messaging us to check we would have no problems with access to our room when we arrived. Our Room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The recommendation on the restaurant Gaia just down the road was a good one (please refer to my review on this). Overall an enjoyable stay, I would have rated this higher if it was closer to Narbonne centre - fifteen minutes walk to cathedral and the suburb was a little tricky to navigate- if you have mobility issues this would not be good for you

We travelled around Europe for a month, and stayed at 17 different accommodations in France, Portugal and Spain. We enjoyed a fantastic trip, but unfortuately this was the worst of all the accommodations we chose. We booked for 2 nights, but left after the first night, as it was simply not what we had expected or hoped for. We did not ask for a refund, I was simply very pleased to leave. Something we have never done before. The host does not live on site, and was not available when we arrived. The accommodation is sign posted, and we found it okay, although it is not obvious without the signs. The accommodation is not located in the best part of town. The car park is behind an iron gate, and then there is a further gate to gain access to the property. It was not inviting. As we went out for dinner there was another confused couple (we helped) trying to gain access to the car park. The key was in a key box, and we gained entry via a phone call without trouble. The room was in the garden, not the main house. Perhaps the garden was nice once, but now it is ill kept and in desperate need of attention. The room smelt strongly of damp. The garden ponds were full of mosquitoes. The air con worked, which was good, but did not cover the strong smell of damp. The towels need to be replaced immediately. Perhaps the rooms in the main house are better, but after the room we were allocated, I was not interested in asking to change. There is limited accommodation choice in Narbonne, and I chose based on the price average of about £150 a night, which had served us well throughout our trip. This accommodation was vastly overpriced. We were not impressed with Narbonne either to be honest. Don't like to leave bad reviews, but please beware. We moved on to Avignon as a result, which is lovely.

Delightful oasis a block from the canal and a 10 minute walk to the city center. Beautiful courtyard behind the wall. We’ll appointed rooms. Organized massages on site upon request. Elodie provided spectacular service throughout our visit. Didn’t have a car, so can’t comment, but would encourage you to talk with staff at booking. Nice breakfast. Stay wasn’t long enough.
