The room is very clean and comfortable, with consistent JW Marriott quality service. It is located next to the Convention Center. There is a parking lot for self-driving tours, and bicycles can be borrowed for exploring the attractions in the area.
This hotel is located on Mount Wakakusa in Nara. The location is a bit remote, but the scenery is really great, especially in the early morning, when you see the entire Nara city shrouded in mist, it is super beautiful.
The room is a traditional Japanese tatami room, which is quite comfortable but not too luxurious. The hot spring is open-air, so you can soak in it while looking at the mountain view, which is really relaxing. However, the hot spring pool is not big and may be a bit crowded if there are many people.
Dinner was kaiseki, and the portion was a bit too much for us.
Generally speaking, this place is suitable for people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and relax. Just be mentally prepared. This place is quite quiet and there are not many entertainment facilities. The focus is on relaxation.
Exceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point.
All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable.
One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this.
I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

Apartment, can not find the front desk, looking for a long time through manual service to find the password to enter the room, the sound insulation effect is not good, there are men outside the night, there are women crying, just call the police
Very good hotel, breakfast and dinner are included, the dinner is very good, the hotel service and hot spring are also very good, it is worth recommending

The three-person tatami room we stayed in was quite spacious and a good experience, but the pillows were too low. Breakfast is 500 yen per serving, and a toothbrush is 50 yen for an additional fee. There is a bus stop at the intersection on the left when you go out of the B&B. It is very convenient to take one or two stops to Nara Park for 220 yen. It takes about 25 minutes to walk, but it was too hot so I chose to take a car. The B&B rents bicycles for 500 yen per day (no matter what time you borrow them, you return them that night, not 24 hours a day), and 100 yen per hour. However, the road to Nara Park Road is a bit uphill. I couldn’t ride it, so I didn’t borrow it. The sun was too hot. It’s hard to ride a bike, but you can borrow one if it’s winter. This B&B is full of foreigners. I stayed there for 2 nights and didn’t meet a single Chinese person.
The hotel is next to the train station, which is very convenient for travel. The double bed is standard size and comfortable. The room is relatively clean, and clean robes and pajamas are provided for free. The room is fully equipped. The hotel provides two buffet breakfasts, which are clean and delicious in Japanese style. The front desk staff are attentive and courteous and answer all your questions. Luggage can be stored for free at the front desk. satisfy! Will stay here again if I have the chance.

GGoh Li ShanNara Visitor Centre and Inn is charming place located right next to Sarasuwa pond. It is about 7 mins walk from the Kintetsu Nara station. Very near to Kofukuji temple. I stayed from 15-17 June 2023.
I felt warmly received by the staff on duty at the inn. Quite a lot of them are Mandarin and English speaking. I really appreciate one of the elderly gentleman’s staff warmth when he took the time to explain to me the attractions around the inn that I can visit, and he speaks Mandarin very well! I also appreciate the other staff’s eagerness to assist when I asked them questions about tours or to recommend places for breakfast.
A shoutout also to Yukina, who entertained me when I wanted to do the cosplay and Japanese calligraphy. I also really enjoyed the Japanese dance activity provided during my stay. I really enjoyed my stay here :)
I booked a Japanese style room, 8 tatami mats. Spacious for 1. Toiletries provided are sufficient. view from the room showed Kofukuji temple but was blocked by a tree. The only issue I had was that I was given the room at the end of the corridor. I personally preferred not to have a room at end of corridor for personal reasons, but the room was bright, airy and comfortable, and I was happy with it so did not request for a change.
YYalishiduoluService: The front desk was very polite. The rice balls breakfast was good. The milk was sweet and not fishy at all. It was delicious. There was also a self-service tea from 3pm to 7pm.
Environment: The hotel is located near Nara Park, very close to Kofuku-ji Temple, and about 15 minutes to the subway station.
Facilities: Small but complete. The most basic room type booked, the floor-to-ceiling panoramic window P4 is worth it, but the only drawback is that the table is very small. You need to prepare your own toothbrush and toothpaste.
HHol Gar BiancaRoom is comfy, super clean. Love their onsen which is decent after long day tour.
It’s just few minutes away from the station.
Parking slot also available.
Front desk staff are very helpful and friendly. They are really patience to explain us all the details.
Thank you for all the travel tips
Hhokevin3 minute distance from JR station, a short bus ride away from nara deer park, taito next doors. Very clean tatami style rooms. The onsen and public bath were also very clean and well maintained. Onsen available the entire night, with popsicles at night and yakult drinks in the morning. There were 2 massage chairs available for use too. Breakfast at an additional cost was also delicious, with plenty of choices.
SShin-Woei FannThe location of this hotel is pretty well, the Kintetsu Nara station is just across the street and the main station of the Nara buses is just in front of the door.
I would not suggest foreign people to go to the East shopping street nearby for food since there are many restaurant closed and hard to get good meals.
As the biggest chain hotel, this Tokoyo inn also has the convenient check in and out protocols and has staff can speak fluent English.
The only obvious problem is the noise can always come in through the closed window. I lived in 4th floor but could still hear clearly when people down in the back street talking during the late night,
CCarols628The hotel had no staff, a dinosaur or an anime character will speak to you for check in and check out..haha. You just scan your passport and enter some basic information, then you can get the room key. The room size is great for 2 people and all suitcases could be fully opened. If you want to store your luggage after check out, also need to press and pay at the store luggage machine by yourself. That was good for teenagers or adults for staying. If elderly, which not familiar for electric device, not recommend for staying.
GGuest UserI made a reservation on the day.
I thought I had booked a non-smoking room, but was shown to a smoking room, and the smell of cigarettes was so strong that I asked to change it, and they gladly did. The front desk staff was kind.
Drinks are free from 6pm to 9pm.
Unfortunately, they had run out of the alcohol I wanted to drink.
There were only a few side dishes for breakfast, but the bread was delicious.
FFENGThe breakfast is not bad, the staff here are very polite, the service attitude is good, the room is a little bit outdated, but it is better than the price, the hardware is complete, you can take a bath and relax after a day of shopping, it is not bad!
MmlxyyxA very traditional Japanese room, the tatami is very comfortable to sleep on. There is a shower room and toilet on the first floor of the hotel. Although they are public, they are all quite good. The hotel is made of wood, and the corridors are very hot in summer. The room can be air-conditioned, but it is generally good.
XXIAOSAI ordered a double bed and made a loft. The overall space is not very large, but it is much more comfortable than domestic hotels. The hygiene and service are excellent. The location is very good. It is 7 minutes walk from Nara Park and 5 minutes from the subway entrance. A place to eat, drink and play for 5 minutes.
You can play in Nara for a few more days, the deer are very cute
