The 5 bed female dorm was quite spacious and the ensuite bathroom was quite big, and both were very clean. The buffet breakfast included in the price was varied and delicious. The staff gave me useful advice for my trip. It was really easy to drop my bag off in the morning of check in and pick it up on the evening of check out without having to warn in advance. The location is perfect for taking the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento or Pompei, or for any train leaving from Central station. The hostel has CCTV around, and I felt very safe there. The rules of the hostel were clear and reasonable. Whilst it's location is central, it is necessary to cross a few busy roads to get to it (especially if you come from Central station or Circumvesuviana) It is also not so well sign-posted but you just need to look carefully for the street number and street name. This hostel doesn't organise parties, bar crawls or evening events but is a place where you can get a good nights' sleep.

It was very close to Naples Centrare Station and close to subway stations, which was really nice. However, the atmosphere on the road from Porta Nolana Station in Naples was so bad. I didn't even dream of going out as soon as I arrived at the hotel in the evening. But the next morning, I went out on the other side and walked around because the streets on that side were clean and I could go to a delicious cafe. It was so goodđ
The person who took care of my luggage was very kind and the air conditioner in the room was great, so I am very satisfied with this price! If you're still worried, I'd recommend it to men rather than women!

The bed is super comfortable, the breakfast is great and it's nice having a little balcony. Trip.com says the room has a kettle but it doesn't. In the winter it would be nice to have a kettle as well as slippers to walk on the cold marble floor, especially since I can't control the heat as it's controlled by the front desk. The front desk staff are very helpful with ordering taxis with flat rates so you won't get cheated.

We missed our train from Naples to Rome, being there last train of the night we were left to scramble to find a room at 11:00 pm in a city of which we were not familiar. With many hotels booked, our options were limited. We came across Hotel Vergilius Billia and could not be more pleased! Sabrina at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful!! The room was spotless and spacious! The bathroom was beautiful! In the morning we enjoyed a delicious breakfast! We highly recommend if you are in Naples a stay Hotel Vergilius Billia!

The bar to have drinks in the evening is filthy, dirty table linens that are not linens, had marks that has been used and spilt drinks or food. The chairs and table feels and looks dirty, we took our drinks in our room instead. The breakfast has no cooked food just hard boiled eggs, bread are hard, people have to queue to wait to be served by 1 waiter, you cannot take from the table, waiter has to serve even coffee. Itâs scary around the hotel, police are always there, dodgy shops around. Stay nearby or at hotels around Ovo Castle. Itâs too dirty aroung Gibraldi station where this hotel is located.

Couples visit to Naples. Location - Good location just by the main train station (you can get Alibis straight from airport) with excellent transport links into main area of Naples via the Metro and beyond to Pompeii / Sorento etc. The immediate vicinity is a little rough but you can access the Hotel straight through the station so you donât need to walk the local streets if you donât want to. Head to baggage drop area in the station and continue on and take a right and it is signposted. Service - Good. Quick and straightforward. Checking in was literally 5 minutes if that and check out was 2 minutes. Staff friendly and polite. Hotel reception - clean tidy and modern. Hotel room - Superior double with a balcony. The room was clean and tidy and modern. Small TV, small mini fridge. Kettle with Tea included (no coffee tho) bathroom was clean and tidy. Bed a little hard and air-con stopped working during stay on the last night. Food - didnât have the breakfast as couldnât be bothered but had the breakfast room on the Sunday and it was good enough for a small bite. Would we visit the hotel again or recommend - itâs good value for money and once you know how to use Metro etc itâs a decent base for a really good price. Expect 3 star standard and you will be happy.

Very nice hotel located along the water. Balconies face the waterfront with a couple chairs and a table on each balcony. Large, well-appointed rooms. Huge breakfast buffet with waitstaff available to get specialty coffee drinks made to order. Large hotel that often has conferences, so reception area can be very busy. Reception staff not very friendly, but breakfast staff were very helpful. Easy walk to restaurants.

Io e il mio ragazzo abiamo trascorso una notte di relax in una delle Junior Suite di questo hotel scoperto per caso ma che si è rivelato una piacevole scoperta. La camera dal design rustico, cosÏ come il resto dell'hotel, l'angolo della vasca idromassaggio con finte decorazioni floreali e luci a LED colorate creano un'a**osfera intima, rilassante e suggestiva. La chicca che abbiamo adorato è stata la cassa bluetooth per ascoltare la musica in vasca! La stanza era dotata tutti i servizi necessari, la pulizia top e ci hanno dato la possibilità di cenare in camera ordinando dall'esterno (noi abbiamo chiamato Glovo, ma ci hanno offerto dei volantini di qualche pizzeria/ristorante nei dintorni). Abbiamo anche apprezzato moltissimo gli orari di check-in e check-out (si poteva lasciare la camera entro le 12.00 facendo tutto con molta calma) e la colazione poteva essere sia ordinata e servita in camera scannerizzando un QR CODE, sia consumata al bar (fino alle 11.30) in cui abbiamo trovato un piccolo buffet davvero ben fornito, variegato e con prodotti di qualità . Sicuramente il rapporto qualità -prezzo è ottimo e siamo rimasti sorpresi e soddisfatti. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente!

We absolutely loved our stay here and didnât want to come home. Like many other guests we were staying as a family group, visiting relatives in Marigliano so it was a great base. It would also make a fantastic stopping off point for anyone driving through Italy, away from the more touristy parts of Naples. Hotel, grounds and pools are absolutely stunning and so well maintained. I donât think the staff ever stopped working to keep everything looking perfect. Staff were so warm and helpful and we felt well looked after. Breakfast was very generous and the bar reasonably priced with a good selection of brands. We particularly enjoyed the wine selection. Shuttle was âŹ80 into Naples and a non hotel taxi âŹ50 -âŹ70 to the airport

RRip RipWe booked feeling a little nervous as we read the various reviews but also hesitated with little experience of a B&B Guest house.
There seemed very few choices in Naples ( Chiaia district) a prime , safer area ; to have a suite with some kitchenette and a very reasonable price.
We were warmly welcomed to our studio suite, spacious , well organised with a lot of thought in the location of design of fixtures and furniture; seating to take breakfast, working desk and or relax on the sofa.
Brightly lit room with big âcan openâ sound proof windows or option to use the air conditioning system . Views of the nearby residential apar**ents actually helped us feel at home ( even though we were not able to enjoy the Naples sea view)
Bed, mattress , linen and pillows were fine ( for those who require more specific finer finishes should not go to a Guest house)
Bathroom was practical and had all that one needed, with hand held shower and rain shower installed.
Kitchenette had electric stove , coffee maker, kettle , Fridge and utensils. Again sufficient for a 4 night stay.
Any longer an oven or toaster would have been nice to heat up bread.
The highlight worth mentioning, as most reviews have , is Massimo who helped us with recommendations, guided us with a local map, booked day tour to Pompeii, our taxi and so much more..
Honestly, for those of us who have been lucky to stay in 5 star hotels will know that you donât always get this type of discreet professional reliable hospitality that Massimo has shown us.
If you donât mind staying at a guest house which may sound daunting , or that the entrance of the building may be slightly off the side street but having read this review will reassure you that the 24 hours security guards and the gated premises made it feel like a home away from home.

CChristutiWhat a wonderful experience!!! The room was just perfect. Extremely spacious room and the tub/jacuzzi was an excellent addition. Bathroom was a comfortable size. Kitchenette was also a wonderful surprise (I donât remember reading about it when I booked). Mini fridge was perfect to keep water bottle and beverages cold. Very cleaned and beautifully presented. The view from the room was just great and the location couldnât be more perfect. Walking distance from the port (great as I had planned on visiting Capri and Ischia) and many other sightseeing musts. Also many places to eat and stores around the block. The host was also extremely helpful, charming and attentive. She allowed us to keep our bags in the lobby and do check-in early as we were ready visit and sightsee many places as soon as we got there around noon. She was also of great help after we checked-out, as I accidentally left the car keys in the lobby, I was able to recover them. All in all we had a great experience and time and will definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

KKwokThe front desk service of the hotel is good, the restaurant service is good, the room has a strong fragrance of detergent, you need to get used to it. Many facilities in the room are not used. The air conditioner can only be turned on at a maximum of 27 degrees. It is very noisy for almost 24 hours on the side of the road.

GGuest User3rd hotel weâve stayed in on Piazza Garibaldi. The location might be a problem for some as there are a lot of people hanging around in the square and side streets but it felt safe to me. In fact I enjoyed sitting on our first floor balcony 12 feet above the pavement where a lot of locals were hanging out; it added to the charm of the place. It has a tiny ground floor footprint and is accessed via a door in the side street. Pretty unremarkable on arrival. But when you get onto the first floor the corridors and bedrooms are white marble throughout - floor and walls. It does look good but means the corridors are echoey. Room itself is good quality but I have concerns about the bathrooms and particularly the shower. Any interior designer surely knows that wet feet on untreated marble are a nasty accident waiting to happen: the 2 just donât mix. The marble floor of the shower is downright dangerous; once youâve rinsed off the shower gel, etc being in the shower is like driving with bald tyres on black ice. Thereâs nothing to hold onto to steady yourself either. I urge the hotel to provide a Bath mat in each room to mitigate this risk. But for this Iâd have scored it 4. Breakfast is taken in the basement and I thought it fine. All the staff we spoke to were pleasant and professional.

Lâaccueil Ă notre arrivĂŠe, la dĂŠcoration de la chambre, spacieuse, la literie, la vue sur la plae Garibaldi et le VĂŠsuve ( chambre 502). La location est idĂŠalement situĂŠe, juste Ă cĂ´tĂŠ de la gare pour rejoindre lâaĂŠroport, ou prendre le train jusquâĂ PompĂŠi. Ou encore le mĂŠtro pour rejoindre le centre-ville. Il y a un McDo en bas de lâimmeuble, ça dĂŠpanne bien. Le seul bĂŠmol, câest le rĂŠveil en fanfare le matin. Les deux personnes qui servent le petit dĂŠjeuner parlent très très fort entre elles, sans discontinuer, ce qui systĂŠmatiquement nous a rĂŠveillĂŠs. Certes il ĂŠtait presque huit heures, mais en vacances, ce nâest pas aberrant de vouloir dormir un peu plus.

GGuest UserI had a short overnight stay so the location is ideal about 400m walking from the main train station. Although a good location it is not a good area at night, a lot of homeless people but there are also some nice restaurants on Garabaldi Square and good coffee shops nearby for pastries and coffee for breakfast. The Hotel reception is on the 2nd floor of the building, big staircase and as others say no lift. Not good for older people or if you have big luggage to carry. The Checkin was fine, the man explained the basics and took me to my room. The cleanliness was perfect, so clean, plenty of fresh white towels, and bathroom was spotless, no problem there. He also gave me the remote control for the air conditioning and that also worked really great so you could sleep well. Bed was fine, seemed clean also, as someone said Quirky decoration. And surprisingly quiet. So if you arenât after a fancy hotel room itâs fine. Only Basic liquid soap amenity supplied. The Front door is locked at 8 pm, and the hotel rooms access, they give you a keys to access, so it seems quite safe, closing early in that area is probably a good thing . Easy to walk to the Old Town and all the sights.

GGuest UserSono stata in questa struttura con tutta la mia famiglia allargata per la vittoria dello scudetto del Napoli. Il posto è carinissimo, comodo per il parcheggio, nel cuore di Pompei. In 6 adulti con 3 bambini siamo stati accolti benissimo e le camere erano già sistemate per le nostre esigenze. Abbiamo visitato Pompei, il centro di napoli e Positano in solo due giorni...la signora Anna è meravigliosa, super accogliente e disponibile anche per accompagnare la clientela nei punti strategici della città . Ci ha offerto anche delle verdure fresche del suo orto che sono state graditissime. Sicuramente torneremo in questa casa, perchÊ ci siamo sentiti coccolati da ogni punto di vista. I letti sono comodi e la zona silenziosa. Tutto pulitissimo e i bagni sono accessoriati di tutto e praticamente nuovi. C'è anche un frigorifero in ogni stanza. Super consigliato.
