Hotel Clarean

The Clarean Hotel is not a modern hotel as the booking advertisement claimed (false advertisement), it is an aging establishment that does not deserve its stars. The neighborhood is uncrowded with the presence of zonards on the square all day long. The police were down from our balcony every evening. The first evening the receptionist placed a clamp on the hotel door (strong feeling of insecurity). People smoke in the hotel, it smells from the moment you arrive at reception (ground floor) to the room level (1st floor). The flushing of our toilet was roughly repaired, the temperature of the shower was too variable (freezing then suddenly hot), draining the shower was laborious, the hotel shower products were in used bottles whose writings could no longer be read, the fridge in the room did not work and gave off an unpleasant heat in the room, the wifi connection did not work, the bed sheets and pillows smelled of sweat. The air conditioning didn't work, it was hotter in the room than outside and it was impossible to cool it down. We were left with two extremely noisy fans which monopolized two of the three power outlets available in the room. So we had to choose between charging our phones or using the fans (which was obvious given the heat). We reported the problem with the air conditioning from the first day to reception, each day the staff members explained to us that the technician would come the next day. No one ever intervened. The staff gave us contradictory speeches throughout our stay, going so far as to promise us compensation the day before departure and firmly refuse it the next day. I would not advise anyone to book at this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel with my husband they tell me that the booking is not there. Absurd since my husband recommended both the room and the air conditioning since I'm pregnant. After 20 minutes another gentleman arrives and tells us that they had written the last name wrong. Once the reservation has been established, they tell us that our room is on the 1st floor and is 108. I ask twice if there is air conditioning and above all if it works. The guy tells me yes ma'am there is and it works. Arrived in the room I can't believe my eyes: the air conditioning doesn't work! There is some sort of noisy fan that only moves warm air. Then I go down and ask for explanations. The guy sends me to the room an elderly man who was downstairs who tells me to be calm because the engine has to start. I wait an hour but nothing. Moral of the story the next day there is a gentleman downstairs who says that the air conditioning hasn't worked for days because it's out of order. In the meantime I have spent a nightmare night with a sultry heat in my state. Crazy stuff! Nowadays you have to be correct towards the customer, even more so with a pregnant woman. If it had been correct from the beginning I would have opted for another hotel. What can I say..... I strongly advise against it to everyone
