My husband and I celebrated 25 years together last week, and he surprised me with two nights at the stunning Auberge resort in Rutherford. From the moment we arrived, everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The setting is absolutely beautiful, nestled right in the heart of Napa. The ambience is peaceful and elegant, and the property feels both luxurious and welcoming. Every member of the staff — from the check-in team and hostess to the management — was gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the overall experience felt incredibly special. We did have one issue during our stay: loud bass-heavy music from a distant area that woke us up very early in the morning. I had to call the front desk more than once, but they handled it with great care and professionalism. While it was unexpected, they generously comped our spa experience — which we didn’t ask for and truly didn’t need, but it was a much-appreciated gesture that showed how much they value their guests. They also noted our account to ensure a quieter room for future visits, which we appreciated. Despite that hiccup, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to coming back. We’ve also recommended Auberge to friends and colleagues, especially those looking for a luxurious, romantic escape in wine country.

We stayed at Auberge du Soleil for a very special occasion — I proposed to my fiancée on the terrace of our room, overlooking the stunning backdrop of Napa Valley. From that moment on, every detail of our trip was simply perfect. The concierge team went above and beyond, curating an unforgettable experience that included wine tastings, romantic dinners, a breathtaking hot air balloon ride, and seamless private car service throughout our stay. Their attention to detail and personalized service made everything feel effortless and elevated. They even surprised us with a romantic turn down service for the night of our proposal. Given the reputation of Auberge du Soleil, our expectations were high — and yet every aspect of our stay exceeded them. The room was luxurious and serene, the views were magical, the food was exquisite, and the hospitality from every member of the staff was warm, genuine, and first class. This was more than a vacation — it was a memory we’ll cherish forever. Thank you to everyone at Auberge for making our engagement trip so extraordinary!

One of the best resorts I’ve stayed at in mainland America. True five stars in all aspects - can’t wait to go back and stay longer. My only downside to the trip was I didn’t build in enough spare time to just lounge at the hotel more - wish I had because the resort was incredible.
