This was one of the most unpleasant experiences of my life. The photos provided were only about 30% accurate in representing the actual condition of the place, with the only redeeming factor being the view. Upon initially entering our room, we were shocked to discover several issues, including broken cabinets, furniture with holes and mold, and malfunctioning lighting. The most concerning problem was the transparent glass at the upper part of the entrance, which allowed anyone in the corridor to see inside the room. It's important to note that even though the wall extended for 2.5 meters, anyone passing by in the corridor could easily peer into the room. The building appeared to be at least 60 years old, reminiscent of settings in horror movies where unsettling activities take place. The very next day, we promptly requested a room change as the room we were initially assigned bore no resemblance to the photos advertised on the website. Fortunately, the hotel accommodated our request and changed our room on the same day. However, on that very day, after relocating to the new room, my spouse experienced a terrifying incident while taking a shower. Without making any sudden movements, the sliding glass door of the shower shattered and fell on her. She was left covered in small glass fragments, which took us nearly two hours to painstakingly remove one by one from her body. I immediately reported this incident to the hotel management the following morning, resulting in the replacement of the sliding glass door on the same day. Unfortunately, the same nightmare repeated itself when the new sliding glass door shattered in the same manner, showering me with glass pieces once again. These multiple injuries resulted in wounds and cuts, causing the bathroom and the entire shower area to be covered in blood. This situation made it impossible for us to stay in that room overnight, leading to another request for a room change. Subsequently, I had to rush to the hospital in Paros for medical treatment to address my wounds. Since the day of the incident, I have consistently suffered from infections, prompting me to seek medical attention once again upon my return home. It's worth noting that I initially contacted the hotel requesting a full refund without resorting to negative reviews or legal action. (July prices are 185eur per night) However, after eight weeks of back-and-forth email exchanges, the hotel only refunded me for two out of the five days of my stay, citing that the accident occurred two days before my departure.
