We spent two nights in this hotel, so full of character, the staircase has to be seen to be believed it’s like being on an old galleon. Our room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was of good quality. A good position in the centre of Nantwich and with a free car park from which you can pick up a lovely walk along the river and lakes. Would highly recommend staying here.

We had a shared Sunday lunch which was absolutely delicious. It was my husbands birthday. We had great service from the staff . The restaurant was very busy but the food came quickly and was very hot.Definitely recommend the crown for food , it's always very good.

I had a suprise party on weds 11th September in the Bar and Grill. The food was excellent and the service from your staff was brilliant and it was also Wine Weds, which helped. Thank you so much for making it such a special evening Regards Tina Ralph

Lovely friendly old pub with restaurant (can’t comment on food as only had drinks) try the Mango cider it’s a revelation - wish I’d got the name of it - a very pleasant afternoon in a nice atmosphere - next time we shall try the food as it did look good on patrons plates.

This was the first time we took advantage of Wine Wednesday and it won’t be our last. You choose a large glass of wine for £9.50, spend £20 per person on food and your wine glass gets topped up for 2 hours. It could get messy. Our food was good, sirloin steak and tomahawk pork chop, both were nicely cooked and really tasty. Followed by a delicious cheese board. The wine flowed as well as the conversation. Highly recommend giving it a go, we’ll definitely be back.

Our group of 8 cyclists stayed two nights and were so welcomed by the staff that even a problem with one of the rooms didn't spoil the stay. Credit to manager Robbie who managed to find us somewhere secure to store all our bikes even though the hotel was mad busy over the bank holiday weekend, including a big wedding going on in the function room. Quirky and historic building, some nicely updated rooms but the 4 star review really reflects the fact that the customer service was second to none. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel and bar, we stayed 4 nights. Staff were all lovely, the room was clean and tidy - we were asked if we wanted it cleaned while we stayed which we declined, but we were told if we wanted/ needed anything or it cleaned just to let them know. The lady on breakfast was lovely, attentive, friendly and smiley and looked after us very well. The breakfast was great, we had a try of most of the cooked menu, from full English to scrambled eggs on toast, must admit the sausages were gorgeous, best hotel sausages I’ve had. We had a couple of evening meals, steak skewer was lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Crown and in Nantwich itself, lovely get away.

The staff are very friendly and cater for my elderly mother’s special dietary requirements. Nothing is too much trouble and the food is cooked well. My only gripe is they have discontinued their chicken and chorizo skewers, so I have had to branch out and try something different.
