great location in town, friendly staff, charming historical building in good condition, continental breakfast had limited selection but was delicious, you must not mind stairs! (we were on top floor).

Beautiful historic landmark
I had a great stay here. The room was clean and well maintained. Yes, it is historic and therefore old but that is the point. It has character and charm. But it’s well maintained too. Experience a step back min time. The location is great. Easy walk to all of downtown. The people who work there are all top-notch. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Charming, historic hotel in Nantucket town
The Jared Coffin House is a historic property with a lot of character. We enjoyed the ambience and the service was excellent. Our room was small. It had the essentials, although it did not have an in-room coffee-maker (which is fairly standard these days). The bathroom did not have space for toiletries or a place to have a robe. They really should put a stand by the sink to place toiletries and a hook on the wall or the door to hang a robe. On the positive side - the shampoo/soap provided was of high quality. We prefer firm mattresses and found the bed a bit too soft, though the bedding was of high quality. The hotel provides a complementary continental breakfast with juice tea/coffee, yogurt, cereals, and lovely fresh baked goods. The space for sitting to eat (in the drawing room) was somewhat limited. We didn’t have any problem, but I imagine that in high season it could get tough to find a seat. The location of the hotel is fantastic- right in the middle of Nantucket town and within easy walking distance to all the in-town’ sights.

Always a great stay at the Jared Coffin House. Omelia, Sania and Ricardo always create a first class experience.
They even made a Rainy Daffodil Weekend fun and Sunny.
