Popular Nantou 4-star Hotels

A hotel with great views and facilities. The room is spacious, but the price we paid per night draws disappointment when we noticed the state of cleanliness of the room. The curtains were dusty, window corners has webs and the most disappointing was the bathtub that has mould and dirt in it. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect location to stay in Sun Moon Lake area !

Adorei o Hotel, fiquei numa cabana que tem dois andares, as minhas meninas ficaram no andar de cima e o casal embaixo, quartos grandes, limpos e com vista para as montanhas. O local tem muito verde, ar de qualidade e muita paz. O Hotel tem restaurante e café da manhã bem servido.

The staff's service attitude is very good, but the parking lot is a bit far away and the parking space is too small. The distance is a problem when it rains. In addition, the room is not as good as expected and the bed is small, which is a bit disappointing

The location is very good, very close to the lively area. It is really comfortable to take a bath in your own room. The room is quite clean! I slept well~ But some corners can be seen to be quite old. The breakfast is ok with many choices but not very rich. For example, there are no salted eggs in the porridge section. The replenishment speed is also a bit slow. I tried two scrambled eggs. I haven’t seen any supplements after three times. I think Taiwan’s hotel industry really needs to work harder ~ otherwise the same price will really be too different from the quality of Japanese travel!

I am 1/25 staying in the double room on 606 and smelled a very strong smell of smoke as soon as I entered it. It was like the smell of smoke in KTV. Now, please ask the housekeeping staff to help deal with it. Because I have a one-year-old baby, I am very concerned about this problem. The housekeeping said that they have used the ozone machine. And said that they would take the ozone machine again, but the ozone machine could not be in it. I would like to ask us the time period we spent money to stay in, but people can't be in it. Then the baby wants to sleep at this time, so we don't know where to take the baby to sleep and then ask the room after an hour. The condition of the room. A male housekeeping attitude was very bad. He said, ”I took the ozone machine away. The window was opened for ventilation first. You wait for half an hour before going in and seeing if there is any smell.” It really makes people feel very bad. We don't think it's the uncle who spends money, but just wants to There is a good sleeping environment and we are very polite to trouble housekeeping because we know that it is very hard to work during the Chinese New Year. I didn't expect it to be such a handling attitude. It is very disappointing.

There's limited selection of hotels at Sun Moon Lake particularly certain price points. The Fleur De Chine is probably the best around but runs close to $400-$500/night. We chose this due to the mid price range (under $200/night). We booked 2 nights (VIP sun room) for family of 3. When entering, we did not realize that children were charged additionally (they consider anyone over 140cm to not be a child), and then added NT 500/night fee for ”cleaning fees”. Despite arguing with them about the additional fees and not being clearly stated (”additional fees”) is all that is listed on the website, we were unable to get any progress with this. Be careful with these charges. This is an upcharge and as in most places in Taiwan, there is very limited flexibility. If you have children, do realize unless they are tiny/small, you'll get charged. The room was to be offered with a bottle of wine but did not come and only an apple sparking cider was given. The room was dated, appeared to be in the '90s, the view and location is probably its best attributes. they included a breakfast (with this package). Beds were ok, bathroom was fine and functional. This is not 5 star hotel if that's what you're expecting - would say it would be a 2-3 star hotel in the US. Also, of note there is another hotel part of this same group - that is more lower end which can get confusing (Crystal Inn) - it's probably hostel like based on the descriptions. Would i stay again? probably not. the first impression was not the best, would have wished for better details on the fees. If you want good location, this is literally on the lake so can't argue with that. If you're looking for a true 5 star experience, Fleur Du Chine is probably the place to go - it's amazing but comes with a $$ tag.

Great location as the hotel is right in the center of the Ita Thao town where you can easily walk to the lake, pier, hiking/bike trail, and foodie places. Hotel staff are very friendly and willing to help every step if asked. The high floor suite is sizable with fairly large jacuzzi tub and shower room. A private balcony provides a partial view to the lake. Free designated parking garage is a plus in a crowded town. The lake view however is partially blocked by some apartments in front but the hotel is still close to the water front. The hotel building, incl room, furnitures and decorations, does show some age and is about right to have its current star rating and price. We definitely enjoyed the stay.

Visited sun moon lake and held a small bday party in the room. Spacious room for balloons! The room still has plenty spaces even with two of my 1.5m number balloons. Balcony is perfect for Instagram shots, better use flashlight or else the background is lighter than your face. When we visited in December, there weren't much rain so a part of the lake close to the hotel is just muddy and brown, so just adjust the camera angle and your picture will still look nice. Close to the harbour, convenience stores, and the souvenir street. It has a huge parking lot 3 min away from the hotel, rmb to bring an umbrella in case it pours mid way. Elevators large enough to fit in a family of five with suitcases. The staff was nice and check us in efficiently. Tea and snacks are provided, and rooms are clean. They locate my granny's room next to us - really appreciate this. Overall, 10 out of 10. I'll definitely stay here next time I visit Taiwan. Btw I visited back in 2020/12 not 2021/12, trip advisor didn't provide me the option to choose 2020.

The room is clean, large and comfortable. You can walk down the street from the university building to the starting point of walking in Xitou. There is also a free night tour in the evening. The dinner buffet is $680 and there is no additional service charge for accommodation. The meals are average but at this price, they are good. It’s a great deal in the park! 

On the third day of the new year, I participated in the itinerary of a travel agency. I stayed at the Guanyue Hotel that night. I wanted to say that I would stay for another day tomorrow night. I would wash the clothes and dry them, but the clothes were washed and then put them in the dryer. Drying, the first time it was dried for 20 minutes, the clothes were still moisturized. I lost a money and let it dry for another 20 minutes. I still didn’t dry it. Later, I had to take the baked clothes back to the room. I hung it with the hanger in the room to let it dry. The next day (the fourth day of the year), I responded to the hotel counter. The counter also said that they would invite someone to overhaul it. As a result, I took the clothes to dry on the night of the fourth day of the year. Unexpected problems or not solved ... In addition to the above problems, other hardware facilities make us very satisfied.
