The moment I opened the door on the 23rd floor was shocked. It was really great. The room was super clean and the atmosphere was full. I especially liked the bathroom. DDinghaishenzhenWent to Nantong for fun. After looking for many hotels, I finally decided on the Mercure Vientiane City Hotel because of the pictures of the rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. Arrived at the hotel, it was indeed as advertised in the pictures, the environment was very good, the room was spacious, the bathroom was equipped with a smart toilet, smart curtains, and a robot for delivering items. Parking was also convenient, there was a big road outside, and there was a shopping mall opposite. The breakfast was rich and colorful, with Chinese and Western styles to meet all needs.
It was strange why some people in the comments said that the room was not soundproofed, it was not soundproof at all, and I almost missed such a good hotel because of those strange reviews. In short, the experience exceeded my imagination, the cost performance was super high, and I would come again if I had the chance.

However, the hotel really doesn't cater to Western couples - it seems like everyone else staying in the hotel was a Chinese couple with young children. There was little information in the hotel about what the hotel had to offer, and there were a lot of things that were unavailable - the pool was closed, the two Western restaurants were closed, the bar was closed (and looked like it had never been open), and a lot of the eating places around the hotel were closed too. The hotel was very busy and noisy with all the families, and maintenance of the garden and outside areas of the hotel was not a priority at all - things were falling apart and they looked a mess. Having said all of this, it was nice to be able to walk on the beach and see the ocean. However, couples looking for a nice getaway where they can relax should look at going somewhere else.

JJazzaThis is not our first time staying at the island. It’s also not our first time staying in a cabin. We keep coming back because of the fantastic service and friendly welcome inside the cabin. There is a fridge and a kettle. However, I do recommend bringing your own cutlery and crockery and cooking utensils if you plan to use the barbecue facilities. I also recommend that you take all the food that you wish to eat while you’re there with you as other than breakfast. There isn’t much choice in terms of vendors other than some drinks and snacks. There are plenty of things to do each day, some of which will cost you money, some are free. My family, particularly enjoy the big rainbow slide and the play park, which welcomes you with two big red windmills and a very friendly staff member. Overall a fantastic little getaway and somewhere I would definitely recommend for those who are outdoorsy.
