Nice hotel, clean and comfortable and staff pleasant. There is no lift, and the stairs are steep and quite narrow, this wasn't a problem for us, but could be for elderly or disabled people. The room was very nice, with two sets of double doors leading to a false balcony, giving good sound insulation. However we were worried about the church opposite with the bells sounding every quarter ofd an hour. We asked at reception and the receptionist said it wasn't a problem, but was a bit vague about the noise. We changed rooms to a room at the back, smaller and not as nice. It turned out we didn't need to as the bells were silent during the night. Oh well, it didn't matter too much. Showers were good and the beds comfortable. Everything was very clean, although the carpets could do with being replaced. Our son had a separate single room on the top floor which was nice, although one gained access through the bathroom! No smoking establishment and no pets. The hotel is situated in a street with several restaurants and independant shops. There is a bar next door with pinball machines which was very friendly and another great bar further up the street. Fantastic record shop a couple of doors up. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the town centre and there is on street parking about. One can see the castle by leaning out of the window!

This hotel is in a fabulous location. Bars, restaurants and shops all nearby. However the staff are not of the same quality. Our room had a bath but the plug did not work and so the water just drained out as fast as it came out of the taps. The device on the side of the bath was broken and thus the plug was useless. I mentioned to the girl on reception that there was a problem with the bath and it needed fixing. She told me she would get it fixed. Nobody arrived to fix it that day so I explained the situation to another girl the following day. Again nothing happened. Both girls were not interested and ghisvreflects very poorly on the hotel and the Mercure group in general.

Very nice staff, pretty hotel, right across from the gare and tram, around the corner from the castle and old town center. Those are the “goods”. However, we were given family room 111 which faces the street. The air conditioning was not working well, and when we opened the windows, there was the sound of the train, people fighting, or couples. We asked to have the air fixed but were just as uncomfortable the second night. The “rooms” are separated by sliding bamboo curtains, which made it impossible to sleep until the last person went to bed. Breakfast was very sp**** at the €14 per person charge. But reception staff was impeccably nice. I think we would choose a real hotel with real beds and real doors next time.

Kind, helpful staff. Very good location. Great and exceptionally clean room. Very comfortable bed. An excellent example of the fact that it is possible to receive a very high-quality service for little money. I will definitely choose this hotel chain in my travels in the future.

The hotel was a little further out than I expected as it says central, also the room we were given was lovely but a few things need improving, the bathroom stunk of garlic when we arrived, just the bathroom and it went on opening the door and spraying perfume after a while but smelt liked they cleaned it with garlic oil, also there is no fan or air-conditioning and it was very warm, we had the windows open but both my daughter and I got eaten alive by mosquitos so a fan in the room would be helpful! Also was very noisy outside, building works opposite at 7am and uni students opposite the other way laughing and singing till the early hours so not much sleep between the noise, Hest and mosquitos! The actual room is lovely, with a kitchen area but just a few improvements would make it better.

I strongly advise against staying at this hotel, especially during the summer months. The hotel falsely advertises air-conditioned rooms. While there is an air conditioning unit in the room, it completely fails to cool the space. Despite multiple complaints to the reception, the issue was never resolved. Staff provided inconsistent information and solutions, often resulting in delays or no action at all. To make matters worse, the room cleaning was substandard with frequent omissions such as trash removal and vacuuming. I was forced to visit the reception daily to request missing services.

Excellent surprise for this hotel conveniently located between Nantes city center and on the way to the airport if catching a plane. I booked a one-night stay (04th - 05th December 2021) also based on the positive reviews read on Google and ***********. My stay in room 304 was extremely pleasant as the room is perfectly located on the courtyard, providing a quiet surrounding. The room itself is big and I was particularly impressed by its cleanliness. Furthermore, check in and check out at reception was very smooth and handled professionally. Talking to the reception team, it is obvious they genuinely like their job in the hospitality business. Their commitment, all the more resounding in this time of uncertainty, is pleasant and warm to witness. Next time in Nantes, I have found my preferred hotel :-)

It´s very comfortable and clean, so when you first enter the room it gives very good impression. It has four plugs, so you can charge all your devices. The bathroom was clean and wide. The room is not big but I didn´t miss extra space. The staff is very nice and speak at least french and english. The only point to improve is that if the parking is full you have to find a place to park in the area of the hotel, and it´s not always easy. Despite that, I would repeat because the price is very good.

GGuest UserWe returned to this hotel after 3 years for the much delayed Hellfest Festival in June. Again I cannot fault the hotel or services. Clean room and bedding and strong breakfast offering. We will be back again next year and recommend this hotel as noted along with its location being 2 minutes from the train station. Merci pour un excellent séjour David

GGuest UserLovely property with great staff Our room on the 6th floor was at the front of the building over looking the bars & restaurants and therefore was quite noisy during the early hours of the morning Did have to open windows as air conditioning was not working as if left closed the room was very hot 🥵 All though the room was compact linens , towels and toiletries were of good quality alas we speak Spanish & English but no channels were operating these languages not even news Room was dusty and safe had an error which I mentioned to reception as could not be used - but overall the room did the job for 2 nights and we duly explored Nantes Would love to return and explore the city

GGuest UserIn 2022-2023 my experience at this hotel is quite good, it's really comfortable to stay 2-3 nights for business trip: it's next to Train station (so u could drop off ur luggage right the moment u arrive at Nantes), after a work day, u could take time to walk along the canal Saint Felix, as well as visit the old castle, the old city center. Mercure Nantes is also near the Conference - Exhibition Complex called La Cité des Congrès de Nantes to see some spectables, concerts such as Shen Yun, Le lac des cygnes. The room is quiet, i do love so much the view, the bathroom is clean and nice light system as well as television, wardrobes (small but smart). The morning buffet is diversified and fresh. You could ask to staff to make Cappuccino/ Machiato(they do very well) . I was here 3 times already, 3 differents room at different floor but never had prob with sleeping. The staff is friendly (women who tidy room), the staff at buffet as well i did love the dinner service in room, very well prepared. This month I enjoyed the lunch at terrasse. So I do appreciate all services they could offer up to now. Thank you.

GGuest UserThis hotel is excellent value for money. Very clean and staff excellent could not have been in a better location. I will definitely go back and stay with L’Hôtel. We used the airport shuttle bus. As you get off the bus keep the train line on your right. Just yards away are the steps upto the bridge. When you get to the top take the right turn and walk down the road don’t take the natural bend but cross over the road you’ll pass a restaurant/bar and the hotel is located a few yards away. Note when you go back to the airport by shuttle bus go to where you were dropped off and cross the road. Just before you get to the river the bus stop can be seen. Really easy both ways. We also used the trams which again is close to the hotel . The Nante voyage card included airport bus and trams. Enjoy your stay.

GGuest UserI was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, it was better than expected in all aspects. It was in a perfect locations for our visit to Les Machines. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The lobby area was clean and modern, all the staff we interacted with were both helpful and friendly. The big surprise was the restaurant. When we arrived at lunchtime we were hungry and could not be bothered to go outside the hotel so resigned ourselves to an average or worse hotel lunch. It was well above average, so when the evening arrived it was an easy decision to stay in the hotel for dinner. Both meals were excellent and very good value for money. I would stay and eat in the hotel again if in Nantes.

Mmarc caoThe hotel is close to the station, the room is small but adequate. The kitchen dishwasher and other facilities are complete, but there is no laundry room. It may be a bit noisy at night. The ventilation of the room is not very good, and the room on the sunny side may be very hot at noon.

GGuest UserNous avions réservez une nuit pour un weekend , avec une réservation du parking qui est très difficile d'accédé, est la personne au bout du fils non compétente. Le petit déjeuner ce terminer a 9h30 ce qui top tôt a mon gout. Pour le règlement aussi cela pause problème, effet je régler en liquide il me fallait un caution de 50euros, du jamais vue Le personnel nous a clairement dit d'annuler la réservation et d'aller voir le Ibis a coter. Je ne recommande pas du tout, malgré que je n'est pu voir la chambre

My partner and I stayed for a night. Check did state 12pm, we got there about 1.30 but were told to return around 3pm as room wasn’t ready. Staff friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Good location. ,We had been travelling for a few hours so it would have been nice for the early stayed check in but it did give us time to find out what was going on in Nantes. Public parking around 10 mins away. Would recommend.

GGuest UserNantes is a beautiful city, with lots to see and do. The Apartments are located in an ideal location. With bars, cafe's, restaurants and trams very close by. But OMG, the apartment I stayed in was dark, shabby, with a strange damp smell of mold or mildew emanating from the corridor. The towels were ancient and thread bare. just like the rest of the apartment, and definitely seen better days. Because of the pandemic. this was my first trip outside of the UK. so was looking forward to something a bit better than this.
