Service staff have good attitude

What a disappointment, a new hotel but the service is lacking! Family room so 2 adjoining rooms of good size but bathroom with sliding door, behind the door, full of dust bunnies! Bravo for the cleanliness! We are told that we must not take showers too hot because it can set off the fire alarms! It's the first time I've heard that after arriving at a high-end hotel! That's good, the water is barely warm so there was no risk of setting off an alarm! One of the rooms had a heater that wasn't working properly! After setting it to 23 degrees, it never heated the room. In addition, it turned off during the night knowing that it was -1 degree outside, so 14 degrees in the room! A scandal! I check out, they don't even ask me if everything went well! Honestly, the service was not great, I still mentioned it to the receptionist and she said: "You should have told us! We should have changed rooms!" Sorry, I can't imagine the heating going off in the middle of the night! A rather unpleasant awakening in a freezing room! In short, the service was not up to the standard of Mercure, knowing that we heard the receptionist say on the phone when we arrived (8:30 p.m.) "I don't know if the rooms are ready!" But what kind of hotel and service! If you have a choice, go elsewhere! When leaving the room this morning, the false wall opened onto the hotel's pipes!!

I don't know where to start, I don't recommend this hotel. To begin with, my bathroom door wouldn't close, which led to accusations from them because the fire alarm went off with the steam. I didn't think an establishment like theirs could be so negligent. My room was on the fifth floor. And despite that, I could hear the noise from the road more on Wednesday mornings, there was a market right under my window, so by 6 o'clock I was already up. Then, my card to get into my room didn't always work, and if you eat at the hotel, plan to have something to snack on afterward, because even with a starter, main course, and dessert, I was still hungry.

Hotel very well located to attend a concert or a match at the "Paris Defense Arena" (+/- 400m). Easy to access, since it is located less than 50m from the “Nanterre préfecture” station (RER A allowing you to reach the center of Paris quickly).

We spent two nights on July 21 and 22, with a group of around thirty people. The first contact was the painful reception of keys and capricious elevators. Arriving on the third floor, we discover our hallway under construction, with an open ceiling, tools and paint stains on the carpet... Next, the bedroom. Finally, we are a little reassured: the room has been recently renovated and everything is impeccably clean. However, a rate was displayed in the room: €250/day… incredible given the standard and the service. Fortunately, our group had much more realistic prices. Down to the bar/restaurant for dinner. We order our aperitif. Faced again, a bartender and a barmaid who had to experience their very first day of service. Impossible to distinguish champagne and crémant… so a kir… In short, we were served tempered crémant, claiming that it was champagne 😂. Not wanting to complicate things, I asked for ice... that's when a more experienced barmaid came in, who apologetically changed our glasses. Finally, we received a very cold crémant... The meal went pretty well except that I received my starter 5 minutes after my companion... Very ordinary food. Red wine in a pitcher was present on the table. A guest asked for white wine instead. There were no more... surreal. A restful night, but we were woken up very early by the market set up a few meters from the hotel... Small shower to wake up. No hot water... and there won't be any in the evening or the next day... We all grumbled. The receptionist apologized weakly, with all the nonchalance of an African hotel… Impossible for a 4* to find a heating engineer 🤬. Breakfast. There, a “maitre d’hôtel” tries to accommodate three groups at the same time… Chaos… Moreover, the kitchen has clearly not calculated its move well: it lacks everything. We ate what was left, at the bar, on a stool... Finally, to top it all off, the coffee machine gave up the ghost... The next day, the machine was working again, but the breakfast was still the same shabby: very very little choice and in insufficient quantity... We fortunately kept our good humor, because it ended up becoming comical..., but never again this "hotel".
