I barely slept that night. Initially, I couldn't figure out what was going on, but I eventually figured out it was mice playing around in the cabinet by the TV and on the ceiling. At around 4 a.m., I used my phone's flashlight and saw a mouse scurry across the tabletop before disappearing. At 7 a.m., a mouse appeared on the floor in the room and then disappeared onto the countertop where the kettle was. When I contacted the hotel, they refused to acknowledge the issue and also called the platform. This is the first time in all my years of business travel that I've had so many issues with a single room: 1. The air conditioning wasn't heating, and it was the same as turning it off. 2. The cleanliness was terrible. The previous guest's used towels were still by the sink, and I'm not going to mention the cleanliness of the sink and toilet. I only used a disposable toothbrush and didn't dare use anything else. 3. The platform specifically requested breakfast, but the hotel didn't provide it, so I at least asked for a refund (they simply refused and contacted the platform).
It's hard to believe a hotel like this can still be operated through a platform these days.
