Crowne Plaza Nanning City Center

Located in Nanning CBD, the hotel offers incredibly convenient parking and charging. There's a NIO charging station right downstairs, and a Li Auto supercharging station in the adjacent mall, both operating at a flat rate 24/7. As we were traveling with children, the hotel was incredibly thoughtful, providing kids' toothbrushes and slippers, and even pre-installing bed rails. Breakfast was plentiful with a vast array of options, and the restaurant boasted excellent views. All in all, it was a truly satisfying stay!

The service at this hotel was truly exceptional, heartwarming to the core. From the moment we arrived, despite the pouring rain, a doorman quickly approached with a large umbrella. He not only helped with our luggage but also meticulously wiped the rain from us, instantly making the dreary weather feel less daunting. During check-in, the front desk staff noticed the elderly person in our group had mobility issues and proactively upgraded us to a lower-floor room. They even thoughtfully informed us of the elevator's location in advance – such exceptional consideration! Upon entering our room, we were surprised to find that the housekeeping attendant had added two extra down pillows, remembering our earlier mention of preferring soft ones. A handwritten welcome card also awaited us on the bedside table. In our rush to check out, we accidentally left a charger behind. Just as we arrived at the station, we received a call from the hotel informing us that they had already arranged for a staff member to ship it to us. Every single detail, from minor touches to their emergency support, reflected their genuine care and attentiveness. For a hotel like this, I will absolutely choose it again on my next visit!

The hotel is centrally located, yet it's only a 10-minute drive to Nanning East Station, which is very convenient. Getting to Guangxi Museum is also incredibly easy, as it's just 5 metro stops away. My room was on the 26th floor, offering panoramic city views. The area behind the hotel boasts a wide array of restaurants, perfect for dinner or a late-night bite, so you'll have plenty of choices.

This is supposed to be a standard 5-star Crowne Plaza hotel. First, the 56-sqm room felt significantly smaller than advertised. An ill-placed, rather ugly cabinet (marked in red in pic 1), which apparently covers a load-bearing structure, eats up about 6 square meters that are still counted in the total room size. Given the room's already triangular shape, this cabinet makes the entire space incredibly awkward and inconvenient. Second, the bizarre triangular room design completely disregards guest comfort. The central air conditioning vent (marked in red in pic 2) blows directly onto the sleeping area, specifically guests' heads. My daughter started experiencing a runny nose yesterday because of this. Third, the curtains had such large gaps that the room was already brightly lit before 7 AM (see pic 3 for the gap, pic 4 for my sleeping position). It was impossible to get any more sleep; the light was absolutely blinding. Fourth, the bedside tables are in such a dilapidated state, yet they are still being used (just look at pics 5, 6, 7, 8, 9). Fifth, the mini-fridge was positioned just 70 cm from the head of the bed and emitted a constant, annoying humming sound (see the red circle in pic 10 for its location). Sixth, after showering, the bathroom floor and toilet area were completely flooded, suggesting poor drainage in the shower stall. Seventh, I'm baffled by whoever designed this room type; the layout means that guests are constantly disturbed by the comings and goings of neighboring rooms. In summary, paying 2860 for two nights felt like staying at a 200-yuan budget hotel – even worse in terms of the central AC and bedside tables. My extensive hotel experience tells me that incompetent or neglectful management inevitably leads to unprofessional standards across the board. When leaders show indifference, their staff become complacent and unchecked. This might make them 'easy' leaders for employees, but for guests, it's utterly irresponsible. Lastly, Ctrip as a platform is also deteriorating, seemingly without any ability to hold its listed merchants accountable.
