UrCove by HYATT Nanjing Downtown

Will I stay here again ? The answer is no. Don’t be fooled by the brand “Hyatt”. The lobby, corridor and room have unpleasant smell. The room ceiling is very very low. If you still would like to stay in this hotel, make sure book the bigger room with bigger window. I booked a twin room which is a bigger room (see photos), at least still bearable. The other smaller rooms are not acceptable. Breakfast is bad. Service is bad. There was only 2 tables occupied when I reached the breakfast area. No crowd at all. But all the tables are uncleaned with used plates and cups on the tables. The waiter and waiter just stood at the counter chit chatting without cleaning the table. I had to walked to them and informed them to clean the tables. Will not return to this hotel. It’s below standard, don’t be fooled by the brand “Hyatt”.

Great location, comfortable bed, good shower and good free washing machine and dryer. Dryer only needs one hour to dry normal daily clothes! Love the little assistant (Similar to Siri/Alexia) able to call for it then ask it to off lights on light etc.

I had a good stay at UrCove by HYATT Nanjing Downtown. The double bed guestroom was comfortable and the hotel provided a pleasant experience overall.

Tye location was great. Right at the city center, walkable distance from metro and shopping malls. The staffs were friendly and helpful, especially miss Faye. The room is nice and clean. My stay at this hotel was comfortable!

The hotel location was close to Xinjiekou and between 2 Metro stations. Joyce helped us check in and was very helpful during our stay and tried to make our stay as pleasant as can be. She even helped move us to a room with a street view as our original room faced another building. Some improvements can be made by the hotel management: 1. Lobby can be made more attractive. It's outdated and not really welcoming. 2. The food display had barely anything displayed. There was even a plant that needed watering. 3. I found the coffee machine needing some TLC and the water dispenser nearby. 4. The chef can be more pleasant. 5. The space outside the hotel can be cleaned up, the planter boxes are in disarray and even have withered plants. Even the chairs and tables outside can do some TLC. 6. The cleaning lady accidentally took our small pillow even on the first day she properly placed it on the bed after fixing our bed. The good thing is that the bedsheets were still waiting to be picked up, and they were able to recover the pillow. If it were not for the warmth of the rest of the hotel staff, it would be hard to recommend staying here. I hope Hyatt Management does more to take care of the hotel property because your staff can only do so much. We booked this hotel because of the high rating, and we were disappointed, to say the least.

Excellent stay in downtown Nanjing. Can't go wrong with this hotel! Great service and facilities. Room is equipped with smart toilet and Nespresso machine. Laundry area & gym at the topmost floor. Free drinks and snacks with bottled water in the room and lobby area. Breakfast is good. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores within the vicinity. Would definitely stay here again, whether in Nanjing or in other cities.
