Floral Hotel·the old gate East of Nanjing Confucius Temple hotel

Very close to Fuzi Temple (if it is the correct spelling), and I had two nights of sound sleep as its location is isolated from the hustle and bustle streets.

Nice place to stay in the historical centre of Nanjing.  Very attentive staff.  Small downside/room for improvement: - breakfast good (no buffet), but rather small im size - no body lotion  available in the room

Top location in heart of the historical district Laomendong. Very attentive staff, nice and quiet rooms at night. In end of May25 there was construction work during the day.

The Floral Hotel in Nanjing is SIMPLY THE BEST. First, the female front desk staff are simply wonderful. They are so kind and welcoming. They helped my son and I to book tickets for a special dance performance of Cao Yu's Thunderstorm - a real treat for visitors! The traditional breakfasts served each morning were also tasty and a good start to the mornings. Second, the owner is also exceptional - he went out of his way to take us to the train station early one morning. Third, the location is outstanding - walking distance to Laomendong. There is not a better location in Nanjing as it is so convenient and yet lively. So many places to explore in terms of places to eat and sites to see (walking distance to the Confucius Temple). Fourth, both the hotel itself and its setting in a new development next to Laomendong is very relaxing, peaceful and tastefully decorated in traditional Chinese style. Nanjing itself is such an important city with so many layers of history and tradition. It is not to be missed. All together, our stay at the Floral Hotel is memorably wonderful and we cannot thank the staff enough for making it so! We hope to return again.

Great location near the Nanjing City Wall Museum. Clean and comfortable accommodations. The staff were very hospitable and understanding though we arrived later than expected.
