It’s a really nice hotel. Very big room and great view. Also the bath tub is very big. The bed is really soft and there’s a selection of pillows with different scents that you can order which is great. There were only two issues. First,The hotel reception staff aren’t very friendly. It felt like being checked in by robots. I kind of expected a better manner from such a good hotel brand. Second, the outdoor pool was closed. It says on the website that the outdoor pool closes if it’s raining. But it didn’t rain. The weather was quite nice. They told us it was closed for technical reasons. I felt a little bit cheated by this as one of the reasons we booked the hotel was for the outdoor pool. No prior notice or message was sent. The indoor pool was open but it was extremely shabby. Felt like a public swimming pool. Overall, I feel like the hotel is tricky and offering a package which they can’t fulfill.

The hotel is close to Gulou Metro Station. There are various restaurants of various sizes just a few meters away from the door. It is close to Shiziqiao Pedestrian Street and Wuyue Square. There are supermarkets. Transportation and food are very convenient. The hotel service staff are very friendly and can solve related problems immediately. The breakfast is also very delicious, with a variety of flavors, both Chinese and Western. I will probably stay here again next time I come to Nanjing.

Nice Hotel in perfect location, getting a bit old and rooms need a upgrade to modern design. Check in was not good. Waited a very long time as at main check in time only one staff at the counter. Only after complaning a secong staff stop playing on his smartphone did checkin. That is not acceptable, long que at check in and staff ignored the que and play all time on his smartphone

Seeing the comments on IELTS, I booked it quickly, the fastest time to book a hotel. The Computer Examination Center was two minutes away, separated by Jiangsu TV Station. The room was very clean and the corridors were fragrant. The bathroom has no smell, the hot water is coming very fast, the water pressure is large, the bath is very comfortable, the wind of the hair dryer is too small. The sound insulation is not very good. The previous big bed room was the kitchen vent outside. The sound was not small. The front desk quickly changed it for me. The hotel is very well located, near almost everything you want to do downtown. However, as it is near everything, get ready to be awake early by either the noise from the street or people in the corridor, as the walls are thin. The hotel's parking lot is big enough so that you will have no trouble parking your car. The receptionists are very kind, even though they do not speak any English. The TV turns on without reason from time to time, so you better unplug it. As you can see from the pictures, the shower is not the most comfortable, yet it is good enough for a solo traveler. The bed is comfortable, and the room's cleanliness is fine.

As a regular guest at sofitel I continue to have good things to say about sofitel! The room was clean and fresh, electrical appliances in working condition and the water pressure was at reasonable standard. Under this booking I also had midnight snack and breakfast included. Although staff did forget to deliver my midnight snack. Annie at reception was very helpful, friendly and professional. She gifted me with a salted duck gift and a small sofitel branded perfume on check out! Furthermore as a member at sofitels fitness center and swimming pool (as somebody who swims everyday here)I was slightly annoyed with the amount of people in the swimming pool. There are 2 designated sections one larger area for free play and another for those who wish you exercise undisturbed. But today there were children everywhere and the life guard didn't seem to mind that kids were disrupting these clearly set up guidelines. After waiting around an hour for things to calm down I decided to complain to her but she just agreed that it was wrong and did nothing about it... After waiting another half an hour my friend managed to have a swim. I hope more effort is put into training staff around managing people within their designated areas.

The location of the homestay is very good. It takes 30 minutes to get off at Nanjing South Railway Station and take the subway, and it takes 10 minutes to walk to the nearby night market. It’s 12 o’clock in the middle of the night, and the night market is still very lively. I recommend Anqing Yuanbaoxuan, which is very delicious. The housekeeper was very thoughtful. He knew that we were late and specially left us lights. It was more than 11 o'clock in the evening. He kept contacting us and cared about whether we had a smooth stay. It was really heartwarming. There was a small problem with flushing the toilet and it was solved in time. Check-in is also very convenient. There is a password box at the door. The housekeeper tells the password to take the key directly. The room has my favorite projector. I returned to the hotel at night and was uncomfortable with my husband and two people sitting on the sofa to watch a movie. The bedding is also very good, the quilt is very skin-friendly and sleeps well. Friends can rest assured!
