Hotels near Buildings Scenic Area of Baiziting in the Period of the Republic of China in Nanjing

The hotel is close to Gulou Metro Station. There are various restaurants of various sizes just a few meters away from the door. It is close to Shiziqiao Pedestrian Street and Wuyue Square. There are supermarkets. Transportation and food are very convenient. The hotel service staff are very friendly and can solve related problems immediately. The breakfast is also very delicious, with a variety of flavors, both Chinese and Western. I will probably stay here again next time I come to Nanjing.

It’s a really nice hotel. Very big room and great view. Also the bath tub is very big. The bed is really soft and there’s a selection of pillows with different scents that you can order which is great. There were only two issues. First,The hotel reception staff aren’t very friendly. It felt like being checked in by robots. I kind of expected a better manner from such a good hotel brand. Second, the outdoor pool was closed. It says on the website that the outdoor pool closes if it’s raining. But it didn’t rain. The weather was quite nice. They told us it was closed for technical reasons. I felt a little bit cheated by this as one of the reasons we booked the hotel was for the outdoor pool. No prior notice or message was sent. The indoor pool was open but it was extremely shabby. Felt like a public swimming pool. Overall, I feel like the hotel is tricky and offering a package which they can’t fulfill.

The bath and toilet are independent, and the sink is outside. Although it makes the bathing space larger, you must be careful when using the sink and be careful not to splash water. The hot water supply in the bathroom is very fast, and the temperature can be set (fixed temperature), which is very convenient and comfortable! There seems to be cold air invading the windows, and thick curtains are used to block the cold air, but the loophole has never been found.

I am very grateful to Xiao Pan at the front desk for carefully upgrading my room, which allowed me to enjoy the beautiful view of Xuanwu Lake and experience the beautiful night view of Nanjing. The hotel's service made me feel warm, meticulous, distinctive, and most importantly, comfortable.

I really enjoyed my stay here, the location is great, very central with easy access to the subway station and nearby western bars/restaurant. The room was very comfortable, the bed massive, slept like a baby every night. And an extra bonus was the bathtub, which I was actually unaware of when I booked the room, so that was a pleasant surprise! Breakfast is good, a decent spread of Chinese/Western breakfast for 68 yuan a day, which is OK for what you get. Hotel staff are great, very patient and willing to help, I think a few of them speak English but I spoke Chinese which they were very patient with. The swimming pool is huge and, when I went, had nobody else, so I had this massive pool to swim in all to myself. There is a 100 yuan charge during the afternoon, though. All in all though, a fantastic hotel, and I will definitely be visiting again! :)

As a regular guest at sofitel I continue to have good things to say about sofitel! The room was clean and fresh, electrical appliances in working condition and the water pressure was at reasonable standard. Under this booking I also had midnight snack and breakfast included. Although staff did forget to deliver my midnight snack. Annie at reception was very helpful, friendly and professional. She gifted me with a salted duck gift and a small sofitel branded perfume on check out! Furthermore as a member at sofitels fitness center and swimming pool (as somebody who swims everyday here)I was slightly annoyed with the amount of people in the swimming pool. There are 2 designated sections one larger area for free play and another for those who wish you exercise undisturbed. But today there were children everywhere and the life guard didn't seem to mind that kids were disrupting these clearly set up guidelines. After waiting around an hour for things to calm down I decided to complain to her but she just agreed that it was wrong and did nothing about it... After waiting another half an hour my friend managed to have a swim. I hope more effort is put into training staff around managing people within their designated areas.

It is very close to Confucius Temple and Zhongshan Scenic Area. It can be reached in a few minutes without traffic jam. The hotel service is very good and fruits are provided. The room was very clean and the sleep was very comfortable.

Not bad Facilities are older But everything is there The hygiene is much better than that of new express hotels. Close to the subway station and plenty of food downstairs The windows are not easy to close and there are no screens The staff at the front desk and luggage storage are very friendly. I also mentioned it when I checked in that there were renovations going on. But there is no noise on the 10th floor It's better to stay in an old star hotel

I had the most wonderful time at this hotel. I'll definitely be back. I feel so relaxed and at peace, because of this tranquil atmosphere. A perfect way to start the year. #TheWestinNanjing#Holiday#Staycation
