Hotels in Yunshuiyao Ancient Town, Nanjing

The weather was perfect when I went there, and I could see beautiful scenery from the room. The location and hardware facilities of the B&B are good, and the service is also very good. You can ask the owner directly about what to eat and what to do in Yunshuiyao. The scenic area is not big, but it is very suitable for slowing down life and drinking tea and daydreaming under the banyan tree by the stream.

The Yunshui Yao Scenic Area is not very big. This homestay is very close to the waterwheel, just a few steps away. It is not too close to the scenic area and is located in a quiet area in a bustling city. The aunties and uncles at the B&B were very welcoming. Although the breakfast was simple porridge, eggs and pickles, the pickles were pretty good. During breakfast, the uncle also introduced some cultural history of the Tulou. The experience of staying at Yunshuiyao at night is much better than during the day and it is worth staying.

The B&B is right next to Heguilou, very close to the No. 6 bus station to and from Nanjing Shuiyunyao and the parking lot of the scenic spot. Boss Jian’s family is very accommodating and enthusiastic. They helped me with my luggage along the way, and reminded me in time of the camera at the counter. They even gave me the small scissors I wanted in the rain at night. The hotel is gone, but when I heard that my drone was blown up, I asked if I needed help to find it. This service awareness and attitude are awesome. The B&B is remodeled on the basis of a small earthen building, a bit like a small courtyard house. The interior decoration is very floral, elegant and casual, and a fruit tea tray and a box of exquisite tea are also provided, praise. In addition, the boss specially recommended me to take pictures in Huoshaolou, which is not far from Guilou, and the film was produced. Those who like to take pictures of starry sky and star trails strongly recommend staying in this place (it is estimated that it will be in the off-season, and we must discuss with the aborigines to turn off the lights). The location of the B&B is good, very close to the scenic spots; the store owner is warm and hospitable, and also made health tea and desserts for us after visiting the scenic spots at night (Figure 1); the prepared breakfast is also good (Figure 2)😌 If there are sisters who need to charter a car, you can contact the store in advance to help book it. It is more convenient and cost-effective than taking a Didi at the high-speed rail station. It would be better if the waterproof facilities in the shower room could be improved.

The hotel is in a great location, just opposite the waterwheel and next to the Yunshui Yao stone tablet. It is very suitable for taking photos in the morning and evening when there are few tourists. The boss provides very good service. It is a cost-effective B&B and is worth recommending to everyone!

A very satisfactory B&B. It is located by the water. It is quiet in the bustle. It is very quiet at night. It is in the Yunshuiyao Scenic Area. It takes 8 minutes to walk slowly to Huaiyuan Tower. There is no charge to climb the tower at night. It takes 7 minutes to walk to the central waterwheel. The bar there is very lively with singing at night and the night view is super beautiful. Has its own parking lot. The boss is warm and hospitable, and he will take the initiative to pick us up in the parking lot and drag our luggage. The room is clean and beautiful, the bedding is clean and comfortable to sleep on. The package includes an afternoon tea with delicious cakes, watermelon, and chrysanthemum tea. The food at the B&B is delicious, including tiger tail chicken soup, sweet potato leaves, tofu stew, and stir-fried bamboo shoots. The wine brewed by the owner is delicious. Breakfast is also good, clean and hygienic. The next day at noon, I ate the braised noodles made by the boss, which was great.

A very beautiful hotel with the structure in wood of an old tulou and a fishpond in the center of the courtyard. It was very peaceful. You really have the feeling of living in a tulou and you have a little balcony with a splendid view of the courtyard and the roof. You are awaken by the sounds of the birds in the morning, it is really a unique experience. The only failings : the breakfast was a bit lacking + it can be weird for some people that the bathroom and the bedroom are not on the same floor. They should also add a curtain to the window near the bed.

A very unique homestay, the space is used thoroughly and there are many clever ideas in it. The sanitation is very clean, and there are no mosquito bites even if you live on the second floor. The complimentary eye mask is very considerate, and the fruit and breakfast are very good. The small terrace can be used to enjoy the scenery and dry clothes. There are small scenes everywhere in the yard. The service is also good, especially the auntie who makes breakfast, who is warm and friendly. When you go in and out, you can always see her busy, cleaning the house and cleaning the fish pond, which makes you feel like home. The suite with a rooftop is recommended.

The homestay itself is a renovated Tulou. It is antique and very experiential. It is a good choice for those who want to experience Tulou accommodation. Disadvantages: There is no hot water in the room. We booked a family room with two large beds, which accommodated 4 adults and 1 child. The room rate of 2099 during the Spring Festival is acceptable. But it is outrageous that there is no hot water. It’s okay that the whole family didn’t take a shower. The mountain spring water is very cold, and it’s hard to wash your face and hands. Secondly, because the room is a Tulou with a wooden structure, no matter upstairs or downstairs, inside or outside the room, as long as someone walks, you can feel the vibration and sound while lying in bed. Finally, breakfast is only prepared by two elderly people, and it is very slow. You may not be able to eat at 8:30, and a bunch of people are waiting for breakfast at the kitchen door. 😅😅😅

The hotel is very clean. Very suitable for leisure travel with parents and children. The bedding is very comfortable to sleep, with strong support, and there is no feeling of back pain when I wake up. Breakfast specially cooked local noodles for the children, and the children loved it very much. The staff are very welcoming and very happy to live here. Parents and children are very satisfied.
