Let the hotel hike the tariff and provide the facilities. Alternatively, the staff at the reception may be trained to offer to the guests an upgrade to next higher category room for more comfort with an extra price. Many guests like me would take it keeping in view the season and duration of stay.

In my organization where I work, our Chairman used to say “Smell of a Place” – which in short means that people perceive one place by what they see, what they feel and how they are treated. Let me elaborate this from my experience in Hotel Florence: I had made this booking 1 month on advance and Mr. Aman who assisted, was very kind and trusting to confirm the booking without asking for any advance! That’s Trust! I had requested for a late check-in and I arrived almost at midnight. In the security there was Mr. Shaikh – he was quick to assist me with the parking and soon came running Mr. Salman to help with the luggage. Both were so much caring, even at such wee hours! This is a true reflection of hospitality Check-in process was smooth and we were escorted by Salman to our room. Spacious room with delightful washroom, neat towels, linens and everything was clean and tidy. Morning we had a sumptuous breakfast – it has a nice touch of Punjabi cuisine – chole bhatore, paneer paratha etc – again the staffs were very courteous and ready to help Overall our stay at the hotel was fantastic and the cherry on the icing is that its very much pocket friendly!
