Great hotel, not great location. This place really doubles down on its name: it reminded me of the Omni Berkshire in Manhattan, but with the art deco elements turned up to eleven, and costing a fifteenth of the price. Great rooms; nice interior; polite staff: the problem here is it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere. It’s quite a ways from the main railway station, and let’s face it: there’s no reason you’re going to be in Nanchang for very long, so adding an hour or so coming in and out the city might be a dealbreaker. On the other hand, you’ll be hard pressed to find a four star hotel that’s this cheap, so it could just be worth the subway ride.

There is a problem with the water in the toilet. The water temperature in the shower does not get very hot after a while. There is a circuit problem at night. There are no sockets in the whole room. Due to the lack of electricity, my phone could not be charged and I was afraid to wash my hair. There was no maintenance staff at night, so I didn't know what to do if the front desk asked me anything. . Finally, the front desk borrowed a power bank to solve the problem.
