By a totally improbable combination of circumstances, I found myself obliged to find accommodation in the picturesque but attractive town of Namur, for the night. It was 7 p.m. on a cold January evening, I was already resolving to sleep under a bridge because booking a room for that time seemed so difficult. And I came across an ad from a competing site, which offered me BED in Namur. I made my arrangements and within 30 minutes I had a place to sleep. This organization offers a room with a double bed, private bathroom, television and coffee machine for a price of 73 euros including tax. There is even a shared kitchen with everything you need to prepare. The bedding was of a comfort and quality worthy of some very high standard hotels where I had the chance to stay. The television offers a package that I assume is basic but with a catalog of 47 channels all the same. The curtains are opaque, the shower is hot and very clean, the toilets are PERFECTLY washed and the equipment in general is of good quality. The place is also located in a setting which is reminiscent of the streets of a certain “Venice of the North”. For this price and the resulting services, I think that BED is an alternative that defies all competition such as IBIS and BNB.
