Machaan Wilderness Lodge Nagarahole

The 30 acre property provides the serenest and the most beautiful experience. I visited it as a solo traveller to relax and rejuvenate very recently and it did that beautifully . The rooms and the property are gorgeous . But what sets it apart is the hospitality and knowledge of the staff . The spa team is V caring n offer a really good experience and the restaurant chefs n team are too and the food excellent . The naturalists are exceptional , they really give their heart to the nature walks , Shreyas and Peter I m very thankful to . Gowtham , the naturalist , his hospitality was to be really great ful for . Every moment extremely kind , helpful and knowledgeable .the experience of Nagarahole n the forest made even richer cause of it . A definite go again for me and for any one who wants to soak in nature , learn about the animals , birds & reptiles of Nagarhole at the same time. A big thank you to the Machaan team and yes the tiger sighting , the nature walks with various frogs , reptiles n other nocturnal animals n the birding (more than 30 species I saw ) were the most memorable parts of this get away .

I had visited the stay on my anniversary and it was totally worth it. The hospitality was exceptional in terms of all the services. I had request for the room decoration and it was very well done by Sumanth and Subhash at my convenient time. Thanks for doing that Sumanth and Subhash. Exceptional activities like Plantation tour by Shreyas , the way he explains about the plants and trees was too good. A true naturalist. Post dinner Nocturnal walk with Gautham and walk before the checkout was so exciting where we saw different spiders , scorpions and learnt about their behaviour. They were so engaging and exciting. Last but not the least the Restaurant manager(forgot his name) was so welcoming and had prepared different foods and also suggested few dishes which was great. Overall it was a great experience and would like to visit again.

We stayed here as part of of our tour around South India, and I must say it was one of the highlights. We stayed in one of there yerts which was fantastic, the only downside was that after our first day we were joined on the resort by a school trip which got quite noisy at times.

As a group we rented 4 rooms, 3 of those were tents and it was quite well kept and comfortable with a lovely view of the forest ( see pic). Apart from tents they also have the regular rooms which I imagine would be cheaper. Amenities include a small pool and a reading room and the resort organises walks and other activities if you are interested. The restaurant serves delicious food promptly which was surprising considering their fairly well covered menu. The staff are friendly and eager to please the guests. I was happy I stayed here.

Staying at this lodge nestled in the middle of a coffee plantation was an amazing experience! It’s the perfect spot for a rejuvenating getaway—waking up to the soothing sounds of birds from the surrounding jungle is truly magical. Peter and Gowtam are incredible hosts, sharing their passion and extensive knowledge about the local plants, birds, and insects, which added a whole new dimension to the stay, on top of a very comfortable cottage. If you’re looking to recharge your batteries amidst India’s lush greenery, this is the place to be. Highly recommended—100%!

Great team of people, extremely service oriented team. Took care of each & every aspect of my stay. Right from the time I checked in to the time we left, we were looked after well in our rooms, inside the property & at the restaurants. Food was really outstanding & the resort was very safe.
