My stay at Sarova Lion Hill with my daughters was nothing short of amazing! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival when we were upgraded to a spacious suite, complete with our own lounge area. The suite was set away from the rest of the rooms, giving us a sense of privacy, which we absolutely loved. It felt like our own little sanctuary. One memorable night, we heard a lion roaring near our cottage, and buffaloes wandered close to the fence. It was both thrilling and a bit unnerving, but we felt safe throughout our stay. The resort ensures security, so even though we were in the heart of nature, everything was well-managed. The resort itself is an outstanding facility. The food was exceptional, fresh, delicious, and with so much variety. We looked forward to every meal! Over the course of our 5-day stay, we did a game drive every day and captured thousands of photos. Each drive was unique, offering new sights and incredible wildlife encounters. From start to finish, we were spoiled and treated so well by the staff. Jayne, the Lodge Manager, was outstanding; she deserves a medal of honour. Their hospitality made the stay even more special. We were able to relax, recharge, and create beautiful memories together. It was truly a holiday to remember, and I can’t recommend Sarova Lion Hill enough for anyone looking for an unforgettable safari experience!

There are not enough words to explain the magic of Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. We selected the special property to celebrate my 40th and we were not disappointed. From the lovely greeting from Frieda on arrival to Cynthia with the best smile you’ll see, to Susan who was a breakfast saviour to Oscar who makes the best Nann bread and the hard working energy of Lewis who all made our trip so special. A big thank you to you all and to Mike the absolute Godfather of the Game Drives who taught us so much about wildlife and his incredible country. Thank you all.

The resort is set on a hill overlooking the plains around the sides of Lake Nakura. A super main lodge area welcomes you. From reception, general information, resort shop, and resort amenities. The whole site is inside an electric fenced compound, so it is safe to explore the immediate area if you wish. Our cabin was up a short set of tracks and was very smart and comfortable. The bed itself was incredible, so comfortable. The only slight thing I could say is that the bathroom facilities were functioning and clean, but did need a bit of updating. The restaurant was superb, with a wide range of choices available, both for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Other facilities include an extensive gift shop, swimming pool, and games areas. Again complimentary bottled water is provided in your rooms, but otherwise be careful how you use water for any health concerns. Other than that we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay over two nights. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming, and only took happy to assist.

We stayed for just one night, we were welcomed with a cold towel, drink and warm smiles. Fridah was so lovely and looked after us, checked us in and gave us our bearings. The food is buffet style with lots of variety. The outside fire overlooking the view was great after our game drive although the cocktails are expensive in comparison to other places we stayed. The room was clean and suited us well. We would definitely stay here again
