Hotels near Wat Trairat Wanaram in Nakhon Phanom

Nice room (6th floor), like the inside architecture (good bathroom, very good towels). If you are really a fan of a good view you have to book the deluxe rooms or suits and you should be ”direct” at the Mekong. Breakfast is OK but for Europeans not very excited... Very kind and nice staff (good english).

Stayed in February 2022 for 2 nights, the staff gave the room to us even though they knew that the toilet lid was not tight, until checked out they still hadn’t fixed it. Breakfast has a bread zone, orange jam, strawberry jam, steamed rice, egg fried rice, 2-3 more menus to be chosen. egg zone, fried egg, omelet, etc. boiled rice, vietnamese noodles. fruits are quite fresh and clean. Pure water, orange juice seemed like they mixed with many brands. Fresh milk, cornflakes, quite a variety, food are okay. Good location, next to the Mekong River walkway, there is a 7-11 next to the hotel, opposite the hotel there is a parking lot which quite spacious and comfortable. Located in the heart of the city, not far to drive and look around. there is a walking street just 3-5 mins drive. Stunning view of Makong river if requesting a room on the river side.You will see the sunrise, cool breeze, and there are bicycles to borrow to ride. There are many restaurants nearby good for dinner, gas station. it takes about 20-25 minutes to drive from the airport. If renting a car, do not fill up the oil here. the oil will reduce 1 mark and be fined from the company you can’t say you won’t pay because you have limited time. Go to fill up near the airport.

We arrived at the hotel and have been greeted nicely. The room was ready, despite our early arrival. We did get one to the suites, which was good, as a family of 4 would have a difficult time to stay comfortably in the standard room. The suite was nice, comprising of 1 living and 1 bed room separated by the bathroom. Only downside was, that the room was on the ground floor and close to the car wash of the PTT next to the hotel. Therefore it could get a bit noisy during the day. The included breakfast was nothing special, but the restaurant was not able to handle that all guests having breakfast at the same time. The view over the mekong river is nice and we could directly walk out into the garden.

We sleeped there 3 nights either on January 28 and 29, 2020 booked with Agoda and on January 30, this evening paid directly at the receipt at 500 baht because there were no more available coins on Agoda that returned even better to us The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. The hotel itself is not very far from the Mekong River, not a walk from the clock tower. The hotel itself is a 3-story building. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the hotel has bicycles for rent. The price is 50 baht per day, which is considered very cheap. Near the hotel there are many restaurants. There are many sitting and eating in the restaurant or street foods as well.

Go on errands at the court, we reserved another place. Coming out of the court, I found in front of the court, why is the hotel with the same name, so I stopped by to ask Chao to tell the same owner, but different branches, so we arranged in front of the court so I was tired. Absolutely the best “airport hotel” - it has amazing rooms wonderful shower huge fridge and next to a 7/11! Trip from Nakhon P city is only 200bath and hotel has airport shuttle! The price is so low which is why I rank it higher than any Hilton airport hotel because the rooms are just amazing. Girl in front desk didn’t speak English but was so helpful, I had the google translate app 🙂 WiFi is really good too! If the airport transport is really here at 8 then I’d give it 10 stars.

My GF and I arrived late after a 4 hour drive and were looking forward to a relaxing night/morning at this hotel. Upon checking into our room, the fuse went out and after an hour of the hotel maintenance unsuccessfully trying to fix it, we were transferred from our ocean view top floor suite, to a second floor room with two single beds and no view. My GF and I were pretty disappointed with the new room, not to mention there was a loud party going on in the restaurant area, which was just one floor down. We called the front desk to ask for a refund, but were told that we would have to take up the matter with Agoda. Being that it was already late, we decided to try to make the best of it; however, I at least expected the hotel to offer a refund for the price difference of an ocean view suite to a smaller room with two beds (and no view), but the hotel said they would just call us back (of course they still haven't a day later). I'm not faulting the hotel staff, but there is definitely a lack of common sense and expected courtesy by the hotel management/ownership. Yea, the views are nice, but the hotel is actually a bit run down, and what got me is that you even have to pay to rent bikes and use their gym. The cost is small, but it's the principal...these types of amenities are always complimentary at any respectable hotel.
