The hotel is basic don’t expect much other than a place to sleep and have breakfast. They do need to improve on cleanliness, the bathroom mat was grossly dirty and the bedsheets were not clean and were torn, quite a disappointment. I do have to give them credit on food, they really tried both for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The swimming pool needs to be maintained well, it was actually green in colour! The staff really was excellent in making our stay memorable. My highlight was the bonfire. Kudos

I went this place for a conference with my team and it was so dope. I love the ambience the staff and their conference services were top. I highly recommend the place to anyone visiting Naivasha for conference.

We reserved a room over the phone and informed them that we had a baby and needed a crib. They told us that they don't provide cribs and we understood. Once in the standard room, we realized the room was very small ( there was no room to move around the bed) and had no mosquito net or hot water. After talking to the receptionist, we were told to wait for 30min for hot water to flow. We opened the taps and 1hr later,. it was still not hot, by then the reception had closed (10pm), but the guard communicated with them and we were transfered to an executive room. The executive room was better but the toilet seat was broken and after turning off the lights, the mosquitoes come from hiding and it was an insane night. In the morning, they informed us that no standard room has a mosquito net, but being a mosquito prone area, in my opinion, this should be a must for every room. The restaurant is great, the food is awesome and kitchen staff very friendly. The environment is breath taking and would recommend the night bonfire.

we reserved our rooms in early December only to be given a dirty room with torn linens. The lunch was served ala carte and they served us salty fish, stale fries, pork with skin and hair bits. The services were so poor up until the white residents showed up and they started improving. Buffet options for breakfast were so limited, we were forced to get food from outside. You can tell the place is clearly run down because of how unkempt it is. The wifi only worked the day that we are living despite mentioning that i had work to do while at my stay.

This place kept popping up on various booking sites, it had good reviews so we thought we'd stay. Unfortunately, Naivasha must have had one of its coldest and wettest spells in December ever, so the weather totally washed our experience away. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was very comfortable, but we did feel like it needed a proper good pair of eyes to totally clean the room properly i.e clean away dust, cobwebs and wall stains. We still have no idea why there is a TV in the room, it was not showing anything. The bathroom was functional and practical, water was properly hot. The Chef obviously loves cooking and food, we thought the food was exceptional for a relatively smaller lodge. I've stayed in "smarter" hotels in Naivasha with far less tasty food than this place, the consistently good food was a real bonus. The pool is big and has a nice patio area with a big enough bar, but because of the weather we couldn't fully take advantage of this facility. The design of the place is quirky and the grounds have some interesting details like the rock pool and gardens which have fantastic birdlife to see. The hotel is a little further away from the Lake and trips, but I wouldn't let that put anyone off, it's about 20 actual minutes away from all of that, which was fine for us. The staff were all very friendly, if a little timid and shy with a few like they'd never seen a hotel guest before. I know our wet and cold stay at this place cast a different experience overall, but I would recommend for the owners to have a look at the entertainment available on site. A few simple extras and a bit of creative thinking could really have this place buzzing and become the number 1 destination in the area.

We booked the place for new years eve . We had an amazing time as the place is kid friendly with even play ground faccilties for the children. The swimming pool is functional and the food was quite tasty. The highlight was the engaging staff who made sure that we were well taken care of even when the meals were a la carte. There is definately room for improvement in regards to housekeeping and although there were fireworks on new years eve, some fanfare could have been added, Even a countdown! Overall we had an awesome time and it truly is a hidden gem.

My girlfriend and I stayed there for two nights, under our safari tour. The bedsheets where dirty and the bathroom was terrible. The mirror was so dirty, that it didn’t work as a mirror. The water in the shower was either burning hot ore ice cold. The water battery at the bathroom sink was loose and had only boiling hot water. Useless. The staff where very lazy and non service minded.. The one night we waited almost 75 minutes for dinner.. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.
