Oriental Hotel Okinawa Resort & Spa

Arrived before 15:00 by accommodation during Golden Week. There was only one group of guests at the reception and I was able to check in immediately. The accommodation fee was prepaid. The room was on the 7th floor and I could see the sea from the window, but I could see the forest in front of me better than the wind that spreads all over. It may feel a bit old, but it was clean and cozy. The pool was planted and lined with beach chairs, and the atmosphere of the resort hotel in the South was good, and it was spacious and satisfied. I booked dinner at check-in and used the dinner buffet from 19:00. There was no high-class menu, but all the rich menus such as color 々 Okinawa cuisine were delicious. There were a lot of home cooking menu, so is it worth the amount of 5,000 yen? The part seems to have an impression of 々 and 々, but I was very satisfied and ate too much. I settled it locally after the meal. Breakfast was lined up shortly before 6:30 at the start. There was plenty of room at the time of opening, and even if everyone entered the store, there were still vacant seats, but it seems that they were full and waiting around 7:00. Breakfast was a completely different menu from the dinner buffet, but there were plenty of menus and there was also a menu of Okinawa cuisine. I also enjoyed it and ate too much. The staff only saw the friendly and pleasant ones. Even ministers like luxury hotels were not as if they were dealing with each other, but for me, I didn't stretch my shoulders, so I could relax with this kind of customer service. If you are looking for a customer service like a luxury hotel, you may have a different impression from me. I also carry my luggage to my room. I think the amount is a little cheaper than that of a luxury hotel, so I was very satisfied with it.
The Ritz-Carlton, Okinawa

I stayed in a two double bed room for one night as the last day of a short stay in Okinawa. I was coming from a two-night stay ay the Hoshinoya Resort. The contrast of the two hotels was interesting. Hoshinoya is a very Japanese style place, which has its pluses and minuses. The RC is very much an American style hotel. Which is not bad at all. I appreciated the breakfast buffet and having a large plate of perfectly cooked scramble eggs and all the items that comprise American comfort breakfast food - the fluffy pancakes, bacon, etc. The rooms were also very well furnished with no end of amenities. The property itself is very clean and well laid out. If you are a smoker, be aware you cannot smoke on the balcony and there is only one smoking area in the entire property. I also had the teppanyaki course dinner at Kise. The highest price Kise course ran around 30,000 yen. It was a bit pricey but the courses were excellent. I appreciated that the chef was low-key - no juggling of knives and spatulas. If you looking for a dependable place and also play golf, this would be worth a look. The English proficiency is still a bit of an issue, not all staff speak proficient English. That's not the fault of the hotel. I think that's a problem with Okinawa and Japan generally.
The Busena Terrace

Our small group of friends enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Busena Terrace in Okinawa and only wished we could have stayed longer. We were there off season in early December so the outdoor pool was closed and the hotel was not very busy so we could enjoy the facilities with peace and quiet instead of the hustle and bustle of peak season in the summer. We were very fortunate that the weather cooperated and it was sunny and warm throughout our stay. The good weather also helped us to appreciate one of the hotel's key features - the stunning sunsets from your own room's private balcony. The hotel is old but the rooms have been recently renovated so everything in the room was in good condition. My room was on a higher floor with a large balcony that easily accommodated 4 people sitting out for drinks at sunset. The room itself is also very large with a sitting area next to the balcony and a large bathroom with both shower and bathtub. It was very comfortable. The setting of the hotel is very picturesque and you can see the view from everywhere in the facility. The property has both the Busena Terrace and a separate higher end hotel called The Terrace Club at Busena, and there are shops and restaurants located around the huge property, large enough that there is a tram service to go from one area of the property to another, though of course you can easily walk it too in 10 minutes or so. You will need a car if you wish to go out anywhere as the property is not located near anything else. Even a convenience store - except for the small bare basics one located on the property - would require a short drive as it would be a very long walk. Service everywhere is first class. We had the breakfast buffet at Cafe Terrace La Tida and there was a very good selection of food on offer including local specialties such as sea grapes salad and a Taco rice omelette on offer one day. Although the main outdoor pool was closed in December since it is off season, there is also a smaller indoor pool that can be used. For working out, there is a gym with many piece of cardio equipment but no weight training equipment. Upstairs from the gym there are separate Japanese baths and saunas for men and women. You can never get tired of the view as it changes from day to night. The setting of the hotel is beautiful and you are sure to enjoy your stay.
The Terrace Club at Busena
4.7/553 Reviews
Until now we stayed every year for Christmas at the Busena Terrace Hotel. On their recommendation we stayed this year the first time at “The Terrace Club at the Busena”. Just for comparison some pros and cons. Pro: Excellent, spacious room with all amenities which you expect from a five star hotel. Excellent concierge service. Big thanks to Mr. Umeki who not only accommodated our questions and requests but also was very proactive and recommended as many things. Overall the hotel staff is very polite and attentive. Just to mention that different than the other hotels in Japan English is not an issue. Cons: The restaurant has room for improvement. Actually the breakfast in the main hotel “Busena Terrace” is significantly better. The club lounge is sometimes crowded in the peak hours when the hotel is fully booked. Overall recommendable location.
