Shirahama Hotel

A cat named Chibi-chan welcomed us. It was great that we could walk to the Fighters' training camp in just a few minutes. It was also conveniently located near the express bus stop.

The room is in a nostalgic European style, well-equipped, clean and comfortable. It is also convenient to the bus station, convenience stores and restaurants. The hotel also does catering. From the time I checked in at dusk, the beautiful landlady was busy preparing dinner. When I checked out and stored my luggage in the morning, she was also busy making breakfast. When I came back to pick up my luggage, I saw her busy packaging homemade cookies and muffins, which I bought. Taste, delicious

I stayed here for 6 nights and 7 days for sightseeing and photography in northern Okinawa. I had heard that it was a traditional Japanese house hotel, so I was a little worried, but I had a very comfortable stay. The following 5 points were particularly good ・The owner was super kind (I was busy with photography and could hardly talk to him, so next time I would like to talk to him about various things) ・The linen was changed to clean ones every day (these days, there are hotels that don't change the linen and make the price cheaper, but in some cases it is not comfortable to live there) ・The breakfast was delicious (there are not many restaurants that serve breakfast in Nago city) ・10 minutes walk to the beach, the sunset is the best ・Credit cards are accepted for all payments (it is helpful because there are many restaurants in the northern part of Okinawa that do not accept credit cards) On the other hand, I do not recommend it to people who are not used to staying in traditional Japanese houses or hostels. It has a different merit from a typical hotel. I would definitely like to use it again when I go to the northern part of Okinawa for photography or sightseeing alone. Thank you very much.

The location was good, close to the bus terminal. The restaurant's atmosphere and interior were great. The room we stayed in was old and small, which was a bit disappointing. The breakfast was delicious.

In conclusion, I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is a renovated two-story apartment building, and frankly the facilities are old, especially the bathrooms, so it's not a well-equipped facility. However, the owner's lovely European-style interior, which I believe reflects his taste, his French-trained cooking skills, and his wonderful personality made for a fantastic experience. The accommodation fee was quite reasonable, and I think this is a great facility for those who want a homely experience without having to stay in the hotel during the day. Above all, the breakfast was excellent.

Madame's homemade breakfast made me feel luxurious.
