The room was very nice - sufficiently large and with all necessary amenities (even a small fridge). The room was clean and in good condition. The staff was very kind and stored my luggage for free, as I arrived early in the morning. The hotel is conveniently located, yet in a rather quiet place. It's a walking distance from both Nagano station and Zenkoji temple (approximately 20-25 minutes), however, do note that the nearest bus stop is about 900 meters away, so if you got a lot of luggage and do not intend to get a taxi, that may be a bit far. They also have coin operated washing machines and dryers, in case you need them. Overall, a great option for most travelers, especially in terms of value for money.
The hotel is nicely situated between the train station and the temple. The room was clean and the staff very efficient. The lobby area had a welcoming area that had free soft drinks and teas and coffee as well as small snacks in the afternoon. We had to delay my arrival a day due to a delay that set us back a day and whilst this was not a problem to sort with the hotel I did still have to pay the full day. Technically this was the rule but sometimes given the trouble we had getting there a little flexibility would have gone a long way.
We chose a double room, which was very very good. The room we stayed in was spacious, not cramped, clean, and the bed was comfortable. When you walk down the stairs in front of the hotel, there is a 7-Eleven, which is very convenient. However, if you drag your luggage to Nagano train station, it will take about 10-15 minutes, but it is not a big obstacle. If you have a car, the hotel has a parking lot, but you have to drive for about 5 minutes. Overall, it is okay. I am very satisfied with this hotel.

Hotel is about a 5-10 min walk from Nagano Station. Very convenient. Check in was through a machine with help from the friendly staff. Check out was really quick.
The rooms are bigger than we expected and everything we need was there. Bed was comfortable and we slept through well. Plus plus.
Overall, it was a good value, good location and comfortable stay for us.
Will not hesitate to return.
This is an extremely cosy place, but I would not dare describe it as luxurious. It is dated and simple, with the most basic amenities.
However, I liked it a lot. The best part about this ryokan is its owner, an elderly man. He truly puts his heart and soul into his establishment. He even suggested to give us a ride to the station, however the weather was nice and we decided to walk instead.
I'd like to highlight the breakfast: it was gorgeous, given the price. I'd even say it tasted better than a ¥3000 dinner I had at some local restaurant.
The whole experience felt like visiting your grandparents, who live in a village, during the summer.
The hotel facilities are convenient, the room is comfortable. The location is close to JR Nagano station, but a little bit far from the transportation hub in front of JR Nagano station. Because of this, the hotel is relatively quiet. The staff are very friendly.
Since I was leaving early in the morning, I stayed overnight without breakfast.
The room was old, but it was close to Nagano Station and easy to get to the bar district, so it was convenient.
The only disappointment was that the large public bath was only for men.
The room is ok, the service is ok, and the health is ok.
There are two small problems. First, breakfast is too simple, not even eggs, milk, pickles, etc. Second, many switches in the room are broken and maintenance should be strengthened.
The room here was genuinely spacious, with plenty of room to fully open our suitcases! However, the mini-fridge was quite small, only fitting a few drinks. On the bright side, they provided complimentary makeup remover, toner, lotion, and bath salts. Unfortunately, the smoking room still had a very strong, lingering smell of smoke. We notified the front desk, and they promptly performed a deodorizing treatment, which was very efficient. However, likely due to long-term use as a smoking room, a faint odor still persisted.
