A personal and affordable hotel close by, but also far enough from everything. The rooms are individually decorated and the level of equipment is really good. Walking trails nearby, 2 swimming pools for relaxation and lovely green gardens on all sides. Breakfast was served on your own terrace. The standard of the breakfast was good and varied, but pretty much the same concept every morning. I think that when there is no choice, food is wasted. It's nice that there was an opportunity to also order food for the evening. Friendly and helpful staff.

Beautiful setting with beautiful hosts! Treat yourself and stay here!! Perfectly designed rooms surrounded by beautiful gardens. Everything you need is here and the breakfasts are the best anywhere. Also, they have a full bar/coffee bar for all your needs. We will be back for sure.

We rented a small house for my husband and I and a single room for my son. Both very clean and comfortable. Very quiet location, but close to Nafplio, Epidavros, etc. Breakfasts on the terrace are incredible - so much food, accompanied by fresh squeezed orange juice and homemade jams! Afternoon menu is also excellent. 2 pools are on site.

This was a discovery visit since we own a house nearby. Opora country living tries to combine a 1950’s experience with today’s world. It almost succeeds. What’s great? Well, beautiful country setting with the stone built bungalows set among olive trees on the side of a hill. Well arranged unique furniture in every bungalow. Amazing full breakfast included, although it should be called brunch as it is so huge. Ours had pancakes topped with Nutella, bananas in cinnamon sugar, omelette, fresh orange juice, espresso, spinach filo pie, fruits and much more. Tables arranged by house, all set in olive trees(I do suggest they place little saucers in the chair legs so their pointed ends don’t descent into the grass - I found some flat stones for this purpose). Beautiful furniture and a look of time gone by all over. Beautiful table that took the entire room, but nice to look at. Nice pool, reading area and a little nice chapel in the grounds. Used the anti mosquito repellent but didn’t see any mosquitos anywhere which was great as they certainly like my blood! What’s not to like? Impracticality in places. Nice old house look, with hanging herbs, curtains over some windows but not others in same room. There was an immovable hanging lamp between viewers and the TV which meant watching one had to sit extreme left or right. We used our laptop to watch a movie on the tv using an HDMI cable, but there was no socket nearby for power. It would be nice to have an extension cord. Very slow internet (measured 6mbps). Much better service if they had a 4G router (which is what we did using our smartphone as a router). But all in all a wonderful stay, and highly recommended. Haven’t found many such places in Greece.

My husband and I stayed in the Oporanos First Floor room on Saturday and Sunday. The hosts are Mr. and Mrs. Marikides who live just a few kilometres away but are usually at the property in the mornings and afternoons. The decor is the room is cosy rustic luxury - the mattress and pillows were very comfortable, the towels plush and a range of Olive Era toiletries was provided. There is a mini-fridge and as mini-wine fridge in the room. We enjoyed breakfast both mornings - it is served in the quite peaceful deli-garden with a view. Breakfast is generous in size with fresh-squeezed orange juice, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, bread. The deli also offers a short but delicious menu for take-away meals, wine, and eat-in lunch and dinner (upto 8pm). The hosts and the ladies in the deli are very welcoming and ready with suggestions for where to visit and eat in nearby villages (10-15 mins drive) and Nafplio (within 30 mins drive). If we had stayed more than 2 nights and not packed our itinerary to visit Nafplio and Nemea, we would have been able to relax by the two swimming pools on the property which is surrounded by olive and orange trees. There are only a handful of rooms at Opora and it's suited for those who like a quiet stay - the place is romantic and hospitality is wonderful. We would be pleased to stay again next time we visit the Peloponnese.

A very nice and well designed hotel, which perfectly fits in the surrounding landscape. We stayed for only one day so we didn't have the chance to walk around all the property. Our maisonette suite was nice designed with a very good Coconat bed. The breakfast was served in the rooms and it was really good. Too close to Nafplion a great location to start your activities. We intent to return for a longer stay during summer!

We had a wonderful time at Opora Country Living. We stayed at the Master Country Living House. Its architecture blended perfectly with the olive grove and fruit orchard. The house was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. It included everything we needed for our stay. The owners and staff were very warm, kind and welcoming; we instantly felt part of their life there. Even though it was a working farm, they were always respectful and accommodating to all guests. Breakfast was the highlight of our day; it was served on our porch, and it included a wide variety of nutritious homemade foods, most of which were produced from the orchard. We decided not to use a car during our stay, and opted to spend our days by the pool or hiking around the beautiful countryside around the property. Via Opora, we also arranged a taxi transfer to Tolo, where we went on a day trip visit to Hydra and Spetses. The nearest village was a half hour walk from the property and had some lovely tavernas. For our nights in, Opora also offered a menu service with mediterranean dishes served in the comfort of our property. We were really impressed with the quality and range of options on offer, including lots of traditional greek dishes with a modern twist. We would highly recommend Opora Country Living and we look forward to visiting again soon. A warm thank you to the Markidis family for hosting us and for their kindness and friendship.

We stayed here for 4 days in the country room I. You either like it (like my wife) or you don't like it (like me): the Opora style, or many authentic and recycled materials. Nice and cozy of course, but not always functional and hygienic. For example, the reused copper pipes in the bathroom have their charm, but they do not give much water, they leak and make a hell of a noise when used. Our country room was also quite small with limited space for a suitcase or clothes (why all that wood and a gigantic vase???). In the usual heat, the room even gave a claustrophobic feeling and you had the impression of a lack of oxygen. The breakfast then: all the trimmings, among others. fresh fruit from our own garden, but unfortunately it is served on the private terrace near the room, despite the immense beautiful corners everywhere on the domain. So you don't get to know anyone and you get what you get (= way too much!). Why not just have a breakfast buffet so people can choose what to start the day with? Last but not least, there was the cleaning service. In the evening we used the slightly more comfortable chairs from the breakfast table and so as not to disturb anyone we did not want to exchange them until the next day. Unfortunately, the cleaning lady / man found it necessary to come and brush away the leaves (10?) in front of the door at 7:00 am - 1 time even at 6:30 am - and to put the chairs back in place with the necessary noise . No doubt well-intentioned, but why??? We also had a private dinner here: very tasty and cozy, but just a bit too expensive (120 € pp.!!!) and despite the announcement of adapted wines for the various dishes, we only received 1 bottle of red wine. But Opora also has too many positive sides to give a bad review: the super friendly people, the delicious food that you can buy in the shop, the beautiful green decor (olive trees, fruit trees, etc.), the swimming pool, the quiet environment, the excellent location, etc. etc. So overall a positive experience with a number of not insignificant flaws. I would definitely go for a bigger room next time.
