We booked to return again before the holiday had even ended! The staff are fantastic and key to the success of Le Sultan. It’s a bit rough around the edges in places but generally a lovely hotel. We had an odd start as when we arrived in our room (269) there was a painter refreshing it and the main bed was not made up. We assumed it was a mistake and so expected to move but instead they chased out the painter and said room service would do the main bed in 5 minutes. To be fair, they did. We debated asking for a move but we were tired and figured that once we were back from the pool the paint would have dried. Which it had. It wasn’t toxic and so we just chose to remain. The room was otherwise beautiful. Bathroom shower leaked because the screen was too far forward from the edge of the shower but we found a solution in a rolled up towel. Good powerful shower and no complaint. My only real complaint about the room was the bed creaked terribly when you moved at all. Woke us up a few of times. But again, not a deal breaker. As a family room it was great. Kids loved it. Comfy beds and loads of space. The hotel in general is very clean and lovely to look at. Outdoor lounging is gorgeous at night. The entertainment team work really hard - all the staff do - and some of the entertainment is really excellent. The dancers are wonderful and the New Year Gala dinner was a spectacle. Food - if you come here and say you can’t find food to eat then the issue is you!! The food is excellent - fresh, varied and really tasty. We miss it already! Mix of Tunisian, European, Asian and Italian. Fresh salads, bread and pasta at all lunches and dinners so no problem feeding the kids. The desserts are sweet and fresh and the fruit is gorgeous, with a selection of gelato that the kids loved helping themselves to. The staff here work very very hard and deserve to be tipped. It is the culture here to do so and we tipped between 5 and 10 dinar frequently. (Google Tunisian minimum wage for a uk comparison and you will not begrudge rewarding their work!!!) If I had one recommendation that would make a marked difference it is that the waiters should carry a cloth with them and wipe down the tables more often. Especially around the pool edge. They collect and deliver glasses but there is no wipe down that we could see and the tables were often dirty. This would make a real difference. We will be returning in 27th December 2024 and already can’t wait!

The position of the hotel on the beach is very nice. You can enjoy a nice landscape. The water at the outside pool was too cold. Fortunately it was also an indoor pool and jacuzzi. The spa not on my satisfaction. The gym a bit too smelly. For breakfast there were no products for people intolerant to lactose: soya, haver, almond or coco milk or yogurt or kefir. I asked but they don't have it. Often the buffet table got a bit dirty and nobody cleaned. Food was good in general, international style with a touch of African spices. Not enough fresh fruit, for example no banana and kiwi...The fruit salad was often too old. There was good fresh fish every day!! The room clean and quiet. Good mattress.

What a fabulous hotel. 9th trip here. The staff treat you like friends and are so attentive. Food was great and the breakfast egg man even remembered how I liked my fried egg from last year. Quite a small hotel so you really get personal service. Great for little ones and oldies alike. Can't comment on evening entertainment but the animation team were great during the day with activities. My daughter made use of the paddle boards and even took other guests out with her. Two small *******, could do with grab rail in shower and hand rail to get into pool, especially if like me you have mobility issues. Room was spotless as was the other areas. Would recommend to anyone.

We’ve just returned back from a 7 day stay here. Honestly if it was down to the staff alone, I’d hands down give this place a 5, there’s just some little ******* lead to me missing off that last star, but I’d still highly recommend it for a fab stay in Tunisia. It was my mums 60th birthday during our stay and the staff did so much to make it special for her, including a fruit basket in her room and cake for dinner. The food here is amazing, so much choice and never ever felt repetitive. Our waiter Sami served us for our entire stay and we fell a little in love with him, he had our table ready most days and couldn’t do enough to make our stay amazing. Drinks were alright, not the best but better than a hotel I’ve stayed in previously in Tunisia. The wine was just about palatable, but they did a few good cocktails and a decent gin and tonic. The rooms were lovely, just a few things like the air con in our room being terrible (I think it may have just needed the filter cleaning), the bathroom door didn’t shut properly, the fridge only works when room card is in power, and the lighting in the rooms isn’t too great in the evenings. My mums balcony door also didn’t even close properly, it looked like it was completely broken. Luckily we were high up and there wasn’t a way to access and we had use of a free safe in the room. None of this bothered us enough to complain though tbh, just *******. The bed, however, is the most comfortable thing ever with a range of pillows and I loved that they had coffee and tea making facilities and in the room too. The hotel is very clean, again there’s just a few pointers like some of the sun beds needing to be replaced, we often saw people collapsing down as they no longer clicked in properly. The indoor pool could do with a bit of TLC. Overall we had such a fantastic stay and a very relaxing week.

Good hotel but some improvements could be made. Buffet restaurant had a good choice of food but got too monotonous when there for 7 days as it was the same every day. The hot food was rarely very hot apart from the pasta dishes which were mad to order. The man at the pasta station was very good but I didn't catch his name. Our 2 regular waiters Imed & Adel were excellent & went above & beyond setting our table for us daily. due to being off peak season, the pool was too cold to get in & few activities available on the beach. The language barrier was very difficult at times especially when tryng to follow Bingo which i gave up on half way through. We used the spa but there was a list of trea**ents in several languages but not in English & the staff spoke very little so couldn't understand us. Also they weren't very professional once in the spa & often left our breasts exposed which i'm sure a lot of women would be very uncomfortable with. Thanks to Artar on reception who was always very helpful. Be prepared for a 1 hour 30 minute transfer between airport & hotel & a long queue to check in on departure. Also do your research regarding money. Dont attempt to take Dinar out of the country & dont have much english money as over a certain amount will get take off you.
