Booked this as a side trip from Osaka to escape the city and have some quiet time.
Set in a tiny village in the middle of a mountainous & forested area alongside a beautiful river with tons of waterfalls, very picturesque and perfect for walking around.
The hotel itself is immaculate with great amenities including large bathing areas.
Food was incredible and service was top-notch with staff that were always friendly, helpful and eager to please.
Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting an authentic Japanese-style onsen hotel in a tranquil setting.

It deserves to be called a hidden hot spring. The hot springs are excellent. The hotel has a resort feel. The staff are polite and the meals are surprising. Highly recommended.

Comfortable service and delicious meals. There is a parking lot, which is very convenient for self-driving. It is very close to the Akame 48 Waterfall Trail. You can also take a hot spring after walking the trail (there are also day-trip hot spring plans to choose from).

The hotel service, facilities and food are excellent and exceeded expectations. The hot spring water is of high quality. The hotel is located at the entrance of Akame Shibamen. The hotel provides free tickets to Akame Shibamen attractions.
