The Serai Kabini

Setai Kabini is just a picture perfect resort on the banks of the Kabini reservoir. We had a wonderful stay for 3 nights here in a Waterfront Villa and were served extremely well by all the staff. The villa itself is not very spacious but is very well maintained. It was a bit far from the reception and restaurant but we always got their buggy service on call. The food was great and the breakfast buffet spread was all very decent. The overall property is huge and well maintained. Coming to the main attraction of Kabini, the wildlife safari; the resort manages the jeep/cantor booking for both the morning and afternoon safaris which starts from the JLR which is just few hundred metres away from Serai. Serai arranges for pickup and drop to JLR. We did one morning boat safari and one afternoon jeep safari. Unfortunately we couldn’t see the big cats but other than that we were lucky to see all the other animals with deers and elephants in hundreds. Overall we had a wonderful stay at Serai Kabini and would definitely recommend.

The serai kabini is a must visit during the monsoons too. The property has breathtaking views of the Kabini river , the mountains and the forest. The property and the rooms are really well maintained. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly. The veg food is outstanding , the Executive Chef Sri Ramakant takes really good care of the guests. He prepared Litti Chokha and Dhooni wali Daal , it was delicious!!! The Safari experience was also great. Thank you Serai for a lovely holiday

Our experience has been fantastic. The resort is very well maintained and all facilities offered are functional. The rooms are extremely spacious with lovely well appointed bathrooms. The balcony in the front of the cottage facing the lake is an icing on the cake. The staff are extremely courteous and are very helpful. The service is very good. Breakfast is pretty sumptuous. The rates are little on the higher side but I guess to expect high quality of stay and service you need to overlook that. The jungle and boat safari are an added attraction. Both Jeep and bus available for Jungle safari at an additional cost. Our Speed boat experience was really fantastic. Overall a very nice, comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We went for a family stay at The Serai and had booked 2 rooms, one villa and one verandah room. Both were river facing and similarly sized. We got two rooms close by so it was very convenient. Most of the rooms are in pairs and are a bit of distance from each other. It makes the stay feel very private and peaceful, one feels like you have a personal space with a garden. There is a hammock with every room which is a very cute addition. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The entire staff of The Serai is top notch, they were constantly taking care of our comfort and always with a smile. Right from checkin to arranging safaris to meals and right till checkout, everything was perfect. The entire team including Chamaraj, Sathish, Mahesh, Prabhath and the entire housekeeping staff including Shivappa, Manoj were very courteous and helpful. Saleem from the management team also called us a few times to take care of our requirements. Special mention to the Spa facilities, they were just amazing. We spent a very nice afternoon at the spa and went for a couple package called “Bliss” which was just perfect. Food at the restaurant is very homely and the breakfast spread is very nice. Safaris were arranged by the Serai team and it’s quite comfortable to plan them just a day in advance based on the weather. I read quite a few mixed reviews before going, but I can assure anyone going to the Serai - that they would have a great time. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay, weather was great and the entire family enjoyed the experience. The drive was just 4 hours from Bangalore so that was very convenient too!

The location, activities, facilities, good and staff were great. We loved the very easy and convenient access to national Park safaris. Room was spacious, functional and clean. Kabini national park has tigers, leopards, elephants, bison and lots more. And the drivers/guides are tuned to where to find them

Having heard so much about Kabini Serai, our expectations were high—and the resort did not disappoint! We enjoyed a peaceful and rejuvenating 3-day stay, surrounded by the calm and serene beauty of the property. The food was good, while the staff impressed us with their friendliness and attentiveness. The highlight of our stay was the Waterfront Villa, which offered stunning views of the river. Time seemed to stand still as we gazed at the tranquil waters, soaking in the natural beauty. Birdwatching around the property was a delightful bonus, with so many species adding life to the serene atmosphere. The boat and land safaris were impeccably organized, and we were incredibly fortunate to spot not just elephants but also a tigress during the land safari. Truly a memorable experience!
