Jal Mahal is located on the outskirts of Mysore but not too far from any of the attractions. They have started to charge a hefty 5,000/- if you use DSLR to take pics inside the resort. That's a bummer when you get to stay in a resort and not capture pics from your camera. Service is excellent and the staff is really supportive, quick and helpful. The rooms are not spacious enough but sufficient enough for a couple to enjoy their stay. The resort is good for a small peaceful walk, it has a good ambiance and I love it. This is the second time I am staying here in the last 3 years.

The breakfast is a buffet and the staff is very welcoming. Many Indians who travel with their families are also living in this hotel. This is the second time I have lived in this hotel. It's very good and close to the meeting place.

The biggest plus of the hotel is its location. It is quite near the zoo and the ambience is quite urbane. The restaurant is also pretty amazing, it was well decorated almost giving a goa like vibe on christmas day. The rooms were also very neat and clean. Overall, a very good experience. It exceeded our expectations

My sister and I stayed two nights at the hotel and our experience was very good. The rooms were neat and clean, the staff polite and helpful, the food varied and tasty. The ambience was pleasant, and the property is very well located in the center of town. I'd rate it very high. If I returned to Mysuru I'd choose to stay here again.
