Ambience, Breakfast, Staff, front office was excellent. But there were lots of small cockroaches in the toilet. The staff however were cooperative and they did spray some medicines, but it was not of much use. May be a professional pest control to be employed.

This was a terrible experience. Apathy of the staff, no maintenance of the place, dirty bathrooms. Carpets covered in stains and really dirty parts covered by mats.,Regular cleaning doesn’t seem to part of the routine. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel but Ive been to two star places which were spotlessly clean compared to this. We booked this thinking that some experience of the heritage and grandeur of its palace days may be there but were shocked at how JLR have maintained this. Certainly their standards have lowered. I noticed some reviews where people have been happy and wonder does it depend on which wing/ room you get. Whatever it is a hotel is supposed to have the same standards across. Certainly won’t be visiting or recommending this to anyone. I am from Karnataka and am ashamed that this palace has been ***aged like this.

The only Palace hotel in the south India. At present it's maintained by JLR. But the standard is not JLR standard. We stayed for one night in the Deluxe room. Rooms are looking old and need renovation. Breakfast is reasonable spread and delicious. You can stay for one night and enjoy the palace hotel experience.

I recommend considering a stay at the Lalitha Mahal Palace. While the food may be very costly, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, be aware that amenities maintenance is poor, and room hygiene could use improvement. Additionally, there is no children's play area

Went there for lunch . Property very badly. ***aged requiring maintenance . The food was good but not the property, the property was very shabby. The staff was excellent. The food quantity was good and well priced , shame that the place is not maintained. Did nit stay here but had a look around at the property .

We understood we could have tea at the hotel and that it was worth a trip to view the old colonial building and especially the restaurant. We paid to go in and queued up in the hallway to be given a dreadful beverage with a couple of biscuits from a cheap packet. Not at all what we had expected! We could not go into the restaurant and the only option for looking at the so-called grandeur was the entrance hall. The toilets were the poorest and dirtiest we had occasion to visit on our entire Indian holiday. Really not worth the effort - don’t bother to waste your time by going. They are really missing a trick as it could be a wonderful experience!

The floors and bannisters indoors and out are dirty with bird droppings and look like they haven’t been cleaned in days. Breakfast was like in a cheap hostel - tasteless vada and sambhar that was more water than anything else. Hotels in India usually have great service but this place appears to barely have any staff. People were brushing their teeth in the powder room outside the dining room - makes me wonder whether all rooms have working plumbing... We certainly have no hot water in our room.

One of the worst experiences. 1. Quality of the hotel: the hotel used to be the King’s palace but do not expect to be treated as a welcome guest. The hotel is old. The room has never been remodeled probably since it was built. The bathtub contains black spots. The toiletries are very low quality especially the conditioner which does not make hair smooth at all. 2. Mis***agement: A. when I stay, a film was being shot. The hotel is messed up with filming equipment and guests needed to accommodate the film crew. B. Maybe due to the filming, I was asked to park behind the building. Luckily I only had a small suitcase or I needed to drag luggages on gravel road without help. C. The hotel did not give me any communication prior to the check in. This creates a big problem because the road was closed. The hotel knows it! They refused to give me refund. They co****sate me with a free dinner but when I forgot my takeaway, they threw it away. I ordered it, it became my belonging and they knew I was a guest. D. The staff hanged up phone calls without listening to you.

Not a great experience at all. You cannot view the palace at is hotel. They charge per person 100 and offer normal tea or coffee with buscute and you can only see ground floor and fo photography. So no value for money or nothing to watch. Only onecan see in movie KGF shooting done at this palace.
