Holiday Sands North "On the Boardwalk" Reviews

Enjoyed our ocean front stay right on the boardwalk, which we walked everyday. Wonderful to walk by ocean / beach without getting in the sand. Also can walk to main boardwalk area with restaurants & amusements/ shopping w/ out paying to park! Location great & hotel comfortable!

Great hotel, great service but unfortunately, The restaurant, bar, pool and fitness area were all closed. I feel like I paid for those things and they weren't available.

The view was nice from the fourth floor. There was more noise coming into room from the boardwalk than from inside the hotel and we were right beside the stairs and elevators. Had to reset TV remote every time we wanted to turn on TV (not sure what that problem was but handyman was very helpful). Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful.

The office staff did a awesome job. I go there alot. But for some reason this time we had a very hard time getting towels and rags for our second day. And night time security harrases people

I chose this hotel for my family due to an indoor pool and onsite restaurant. Our plan was to have breakfast at the hotel and spend the afternoon in the pool. The restaurant was never opened the whole time we stayed which caused us to have to leave for breakfast throwing off our plans. When discussed with the front desk they showed no concern whatsoever. Then they claimed the website says seasonal restaurant which it doesn't not say anywhere on their site. They continued to argue the matter with me. The room was very run down with chips, holes and rotting wood on the doors. The microwave was dirty and there were stains on the mattress covers. The carpet was nasty. The price was right but I will definitely pay more for a better establishment next time.

Overall the property was great minus the floors. The floor was dirty to the point of turning the bottom of our feet brown and we had to wear something to avoid it occurring continuously. They need to learn to clean the floors in the rooms; other than that, the water pressure was AMAZING with the shower and the people at the front desk and their maintenance staff was friendly and awesome,

Our stay was awesome. I usually stay at this hotel when visiting Myrtle Beach. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. Plus the hotel is walking distance from a lot of shopping areas and restaurants. We will definitely be coming back.

the hotel and rooms were run down, dirty vents, hole in the wall behind the trash can, no breakfast of any kind, the 24 hour restaurant stayed closed 24 hours. not bad for $150 a night, but could have been better.

It was a good place to stay. The service at the front desk was excellent. Very nice people!

Our room was impeccably clean, the fridge, microwave spotless and the bathroom seemed renovated. The view of the ocean is amazing. The staff at checkin are friendly, helpful and professional and the free parking in the lots across the street is well lit . You just have to keep an open mind when you first walk in to this (older) hotel which has no lobby, just the tiny checkin counter and a vending machine and the corridors and elevator could use some fresh paint. But then you’ll be amazed by the clean renovated room and the $ value was excellent.

During December no bugs so you can leave the balcony door open and enjoy the piece full sound of waves crashing white noise affect. Also convenience to food and local stores are close. The down side of this property was short staffed so clean towels,sheets, and room cleaned etc. wasn’t available. To get clean towels you had to walk next door to reception/front desk just to be questioned on how many people in rooms when I have double suites. The parking can get difficult s as well it’s 3-4 parking lots and the first 3 fill up early like 8-10pm after that you will luck up on someone leaving or walk to the back lot that’s 2 blocks from hotel.

Staff was great, room was also good but could’ve used some upgrades to the balcony door area. Could hear the waves as if I was sleeping on the beach. Parking was good.

This is not an 8.0 very good as stated. Smell in the entire place was awful. Only good thing about this is ocean front. Old rusty appliances. Carpet dirty which is probably where smell is coming from. Will never book here again.

We totally enjoyed our stay. Off season so not much open. Easy access to the beach was the best!
