We decided to take a last minute trip to Mykonos. Numi was one of the few hotels available for the dates we would arrive + we wanted a plunge pool. We were pretty skeptical on the lack of reviews. We did some research and the hotel was recently re-branded, so we decided to give Numi a try. The property has one of the best sunset views. The rooms + restaurant all face the sea and gives the most breathtaking sunsets. We would find ourselves staring and admiring the orange sky with the beautiful white buildings and windmills at the very end. We kept telling ourselves how lucky we are we found such a great property. LOCATION: Walking into town took ~5 minutes. The roads are a bit narrow and dangerous, but it was expected. All the bars, clubs, restaurants, shops were all conveniently close, all walking distance. Location is exceptional. ~10 minute car ride from the Airport. ROOM: Room is of 5 star quality. The marble in the room is so beautiful. The bed was comfortable. The patio furniture of high quality as well. Very apparent they spared no expense. Plunge pool wasn't heated, but with Mykonos weather a mildly cold plunge felt amazing after laying out. One crucial element missing: do not disturb sign. This is really important for privacy. There were some days we stayed out until 7am and we wanted to sleep in until 2pm and were awoken by loud knocking several times. INCLUDED BREAKFAST: This was probably the only let down. The breakfast basket was the only included meal. Consists of a lot of bread, 1 hardboiled egg, ham+cheeses, and a lot of jams. One morning we opted for something different, but they couldn't accommodate - it was probably too early in the morning. I would suggest, allowing guests to chose another option or two from the menu and include that in the free breakfast. The breakfast basket got tiresome after a few mornings. Variety is good and keeps the belly happy :) RESTUARANT KIKU: We've had sushi from all around the world and visit high-end sushi spots in our hometown in California and we were blown away at how great the sushi was. 10/10. Also the bartender making Espresso Martini's makes the best on the island. Seriously amazing. STAFF: Front desk manager was a very friendly gentleman. He checked us in and allowed me to use his personal cellphone when the airport lost our luggage. I made a few calls off his phone and he helped me get in contact with the airport staff. Very grateful for your exceptional service. We also decided to extend our stay and he was very accommodating. House keeping cleaners, bar tenders, food servers, front desk staff - all fantastic service and professional. 10/10. SUGGESTIONS: Add a Do Not Disturb sign. Staff said they get blown away by the wind, but I would suggest adding a weighted do not disturb sign at the minimum - very important for privacy. I've seen some hotels get a brown nylon mini sac and fill it with sand. If the sac was hung on the door it means do not disturb. Get more items on the in
