My husband and I spent 7 nights at La Petite Planete with a group of 12-15 friends. We had absolutely wonderful time! The hotel has a very warm family feeling, Vassiliki and her small team are super nice, very attentive and go above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms are simple, nice and clean, has all the basics. Though it doesn't have coffee maker and microwave, but who needs that when you can just ask for a cup of Greek coffee from the kitchen downstairs and go into the orchard to pick a nice juicy orange. The breakfasts are supper with local breads, homemade marmalade, local honey, orange juice, eggs and more. When booked, the dinners are served with local produces, home cooking and warm smiles. There is big nice sunny deck for relaxation, exercises and socializing. Lots of attractions are within one hour drive distance, the Archaeological site of Mykines is just 15 minutes walk from the hotel. We highly recommend this place and would love to come back again sometime in the near future.

A real gem of a place. Amazing find and we really enjoyed all aspects of our stay. Unbelievably friendly staff. Very peaceful surroundings and terrific location to visit all the touristy spots in the area. Deck, patio and pool all very well kept. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend it.

I can't begin to describe the warmth and genuine hospitality that Vassiliki and everyone at the Petite Planete showed us. If you love 5* corporate hotels full of chrome and mirrors, then this won't be your cup of tea at all... but if you want to really get a feel for Mykenes and the symbiosis between the town, the hotel, and the archaeological sites then you'll love it. Awesome home cooking (seriously!), amazing views from the terrace, tranquility and history all together. Just ask Vassiliki to tell you a little about the hotel's history :-) Seriously the warmest welcome and the nicest stay that we've had anywhere in the world :-)

I read all the reviews for this hotel before booking and thought it looked interesting. I also advised of my dietary preference when I booked, but nothing prepared me for how wonderful this place is. From the warm welcome, to the glorious surroundings, and the inviting pool with mountain views, everything was perfect. We relaxed with a drink to take in our surroundings - provided with a good plate of nibbles - and looked forward to dinner after the drive from Athens. A couple of the resident dogs wandered over to say hello, then snuggled up on the floor nearby, as we relaxed to soak up the views. Dinner was a set 4 course affair on the terrace overlooking the sunset views of the valley. Every dish was utterly delicious, as good as anywhere we've ever dined in Greece, and better than many. We only stayed 2 nights here, before the long drive down south to visit family, but I could easily have stayed for a week, and made it our base to visit so many wonderful places in the area. I can't compliment Vasiliki, her family and her team highly enough. They've created a little slice of heaven which I really struggled to tear myself away from.

There is a good reason that this hotel has a solid 5 star rating on this site - it is a fantastic experience all around. We stayed here our first night in Greece after arriving on a red eye flight from the U.S. with our very tired and jetlagged 7 year old. The very first night we had dinner at the hotel. First of all, I highly recommend getting dinner here - it was one of the best meals on the trip. Normally I shy away from hotel meals because I think they will be inauthentic or I'll miss out on something better at a local taverna, but this is a notable exception. You dine on a gorgeous veranda with a sunset view and an amazing spread of food. Additionally, when our over-tired son started to have a bit of a meltdown, one of the very kind and gracious owners came to the table to notify him that he had "won the contest" and was getting a special prize, which ended up being several vintage Greek postcards of Mycenae. It was a truly kind gesture that not only turned things around and allowed us all to enjoy the evening, but also spoke to the warmth and hospitality we received throughout our stay. The pool is lovely and makes for a relaxing respite in the heat. You are very close and accessible to Nafplio and to Nemea (another spot worth a stop if you like wine). In fact, given that Nemea doesn't seem to have a ton of accommodation options, I would pick this hotel as a great place to stay if you're looking to do a wine tour of the region - something you could spend several days doing (or at least I could). In conclusion, I highly recommend a stay here!

A little gem, stuck in a time capsule. It’s beautifully decorated room form the 70’s took us on a beautiful journey. From our arrival to the moment we left, every staff of the hotel was here to help us at any time. Other than that, there was a great attention to detail from the housekeeping. The clothes where nicely folded, alongside with the hair straightener’s cable being tucked. The view and swimming pool was perfect.

Great views and food from this clean and quiet hotel. It is within walking distance of the archeological site of Mycenea. The staff is very friendly and are willing to help you however they can. Great stay!
